...Despite the heat and only a moderate turn out...

Turn out was great for a first annual event. Also, two riding groups that I know wanted to participate, but already had rides planned by the time I got word to them. I think we need to get a date established earlier and just keep plugging it.

You did an outstanding job. I’ve been on 10th annual poker runs that were not that organized.

Can I ask how much you raised?  Sounds like it was a good time and another well organized RFK event. The kids have a good friend in the DFW VRCC.

Chicagoland RFK  is this Sunday. Wish us luck.

The charity event raised $1200 and I could easily see one next year doubling that.  Big kudos to Ghillie and all his volunteers for taking action to help these kids and their families.

I saw that another little boy who loved motorcycling at the Ride for Kids lost his battle the very week of the DFW charity run. Can't even imagine what it feels like for that family.  That just lets me know we need to keep helping.

Popeye, we hope you have a great RFK event this weekend. I hope one of these days the DFW area RFK gets as big as Chicagoland.  Right now, you guys raise multiples of what we do here, but we'll keep strokin' till we get there.

Sidecar,

I think you guys did a great job on the poker run and raised alot of money. My hats off to all
who put the ride together.

Looks likes its going to be another hot one for our Chicago ride this Sunday.  Hoping for a good
turnout and no matter how much is raised, the kids are the winners.

These kids will always have a special place in my heart.
