McKenzie Lynn Shultz is the great granddaughter of Mike in Arkansas. She was born almost two months ago at 17 ounces and is progressing, but still fighting to survive.
I'm sure the past two months have been very stressful on her young parents, Mike and Nichole Shultz.
I'm going to send a card of encouragement to Mike and Nichole and I may slip a little lettuce into the card.
I've recommended to Mike that we not post their address out here in the open, but if you'll PM me or Mike in AR we'll gladly send you the address.
If you haven't PM'ed before, just click on my name to the left of this post. When you arrive at my profile, select the item near the lower left that says "Send personal message"

You can also PM by clicking the little icon to the left (the one on the right of the email icon). One click quicker. Also, won't lettuce get the card all wet?

Thanks, guys.
I'm always pleased to discover there are much better ways to do the things I do.
I may have discouraged some of us by mentioning a possible donation. It's certainly not required. The card is the important part, maybe even two. I can tell you that when I was trapped in the hospital the cards I received from some of you really made my day. The emails and board posts were great too, but there's something special about holding a card in one's hands and being able to go back and revisit it again and again, sometimes months later.
Please be a part of this "card shower".
I may send one to McKenzie also saying, "You don't know me and you can't read this, but I want you to know I'm thinking and praying for your young life."
Perhaps her parents will save it for her.

A big thank you to those who've answered the call. I'm going to be heading out of town Sunday, so if you still need the address you may want to ask Mike in AR via PM.
Connie's PM method is easiest. Just find one of Mike's posts and click the PM icon. The PM icon is just right of the email envelope icon under the poster's name.

Just a thought. Maybe we can put a box out on the registration table at Inzane to collect cards and donations. If even half of the Inzaneiacs brought a card we would gather up 200.
