I've tried to be lenient to avoid the appearance of being unfair.  I see  now it was a mistake.  I'm at the end of my rope.

Posts that appear to me (I fully realize that's a subjective judgement.) to be only ridicule and intended specifically to provoke a cyber fight are likely to disappear without warning.

If I have to repeatedly remove posts from the same author, that member will get a vacation from posting.

Here's my smiley face:   Undecided

To answer a few of your questions, Al (despite their lack of identifying punctuation), not really, but they haven't yet reached critical mass.

Some of us truly need to learn to know when we really don't have anything meaningful to say.  Those are the times to participate in the discussion by just listening, or in the case of a message board, reading.

Willow-Thank you! Perhaps adding a political forum to would do the trick, and then we can get back to posting motorcycle info, rides, misc. neat stuff, and requests to help each other out on the general board. Call me crazy, but I sure would appreciate a break from all the political cr@p on the general board.

Might I suggest an Off Topic Board to handle all that is not General M/C Related......  I know of other boards that do this and it stays clear of the General Board, but still gives a little romper room for those wanting to play other than MC.  We all need to vent or share some other than MC related things anyhow now and then....     Just my .02 cents...

You can Vaporize those posts or .... move em to an Off Topic Board.....  as soon as ya like.

Thanks Willow cooldude...it is greatly appreciated  Wink I have never seem anyone change their political views on this forums so if they feel the need to preach politics they should probably do it on a soap box down on the corner like in the old days (see how long they last there)... Smiley

Thank you  cooldude we are here because of a common interest (most of us at least) Some enjoy exploring what divides us. I have family members that have oposing political views which I respect but I don't love them any less for if and I don't debate them because I won't change thier views  and they won't change mine.

Willow, I think y'all are doing an amazingly wonderful job with this forum and have NO problem if you or any moderator deleates any post that you feel is unapproiate.

But to throw my two cents into the pot. I too would like to see an OFF TOPIC area were other topics of interest(not just politics, that could be a sub forum ) can be discussed or hashed out.

I agree that many of the political posters are only  there to stir the pot but I also learn alot from some of the post that I had not know or researched myself and it brings some things to light for me giving me an opportunity to research for my self topics those topics.

I'll step in here and give a thumbs up for all of us Non-Americans. People from other countries don't always understand or care what happens there, and to tell the truth, much of it paints an unsavory view of your great nation.

I'll play with however the mods go...

I don't understand what's so hard about NOT reading the ones you're offended by.  I do it all the time.  It's like hating what's on TV, but not changing the cursed channel ain't it?

Or... not liking strip clubs... but going into them anyway.

I hope Im misunderstanding your comment here, but (forgive me if I get you wrong) the idea that this will be a better forum if you just control people to the point where no one complains about being offended is, well childish and unrealistic.  Its only a handful of people that cannot control themselves either with posts that attack one another or the ones that cannot help themselves but to read such posts over and over until they get offended enough to complain.

Its so much easier to just PASS on a post you dont like and heve the benefit of the wisdon, knowledge and experience of everyone on the board regardless of the fact you may disagree with them on something.

I for one think some of the complaints about some of the posts are well founded but more often than not are whiney spoiled brat kind of comments you find in kindergarten.....like "Johnny wont give me the crayon"

Some of the people you hate reading rants from, have lots of Valkyrie experience and would give you the shirt off their back if needed.

So, I said all that to say this..............if i misunderstood you , well I apologize.....if you really are glad that maybe some people would rather stay away than interact in a "walking on eggshells" environment......its your loss, its sad.............not the mature response IMHO

I KNOW... that's crazy talk isn't it?  Well, I don't go in them... beecause I am too cheap.  I just will not pay for something I can't even have.  I get drug into them on a rare ocassion.  But I don't spend any $$.

But I don't COMPLAIN about it when it happens.
