Hey fstsix...
I told him I get a commission!! LOL... yeah it is a pretty bike... I called John about this one and told him he needs to get it... I would have bought it but I am partial to my 99 black I/S. It is my very first motorcycle and I thought about buying it and switching all the accessories over to mine but I would rather see John have this thing and we can talk now on the cb's...
My mom's family (Robidioux's) is from West Warwick, RI. It was fun talking to Paul about geographical sites in that area. I haven't been up their in like 10 years. I miss walking to the grocery store and getting a styrofoam tray of clams and then going back and baking them in the oven... Oh man they were good... I think I could eat a whole tray of them myself...
I am hoping to go up one of these times to visit family their and to go see Wildman in Vermont.
I will message him and tell him about your pictures you posted... I have his cell phone number and will pm it to you.
Bike looks amazing and one helluva deal...

Well I guess I have been outed! Yep, I am stoked, heading out the end of the month to pick it up and ride it home, Woooohooo! I can hardly wait. I have never been in that part of the country so my eyes will be wide and my head on a swivel no doubt. The bike looks good in the pictures and I appreciate the help I received from my VRCC family in helping me make this decision and purchase. Some how I had missed this one on Craigs list a few weeks ago and when Stude31 let me know about it I was shocked it was still available. I had actually called Joe, to talk to him about an Interstate in the KC area that I had found and had decided against, but thought would work for his friend that was looking for a bike. Funny how things work out they bought that bike and I bought this one! Thanks Broker Joe! Thanks also go out to Wildman who offered to ride several hundred miles to check it out for me, to Willow and Motomama who let me know about Fstsix being in the area. When I called the person selling the bike and they told me that someone was pretty interested in the bike I thought okay it's not to be. Then I pm'd Fstsix and he told he had already looked at the bike and he was the one that was interested in it. Heart drop, I would never try and buy a bike out from under a brother in the VRCC, but Greg said hey no problem I am wanting an Indian so if you want the Interstate go for it. He told me all about it and then went and made a second trip and test rode it. After his report I knew I had to get this bike somehow. Cyndi said yes , the bank said yes , and well that is where we are at. Hopefully by the end of the month it will be here in the heartland. Thanks again to all, this Board/Club ROCKS again! JDW

THAT SOB!!! I STARTED EMAILING THAT POS 3 HOURS AFTER HE POSTED IT ON CRAIGSLIST 3 WEEKS AGO. I SAW HE POSTED IT ON CYCLETRADER WITH HIS PHONE NUMBER MONDAY, CALLED HIM, INFORMED HIM I HAD BEEN EMAILING AND AFTER HE SENT ME PICS, I CALLED HIM AT 8 .PM. CENTRAL AND SAID I WOULD TAKE IT. I TOLD HIM I WOULD SEND HIM A GRAND THEN AS A DOWN PAYMENT. HE SAID HE WANTED TO OFFER THE BIKE TO A LOCAL GUY FIRST. I THOUGHT HE WAS TRYING TO RIP OFF THE WIDOW.

John, I have a great idea, you can just send the check, and I'll ride it out to Kansas for you, always willing to help out another Valker. Anybody got the maps to Alaska I can borrow? Congratulations, we have a few good things here in New England. And they are slowly being taken away one by one...

If I had not already purchased the non refundable ticket I might have taken you up on that offer. However, and I hope you don't take this wrong, but dear Alaska is on the other coast. Engemt, Dude I'm not mad at you or any other VRCC member. I'm mad at that POS in RI. If he had responded to my email, that blue and silver would already be in my carport up on a lift being gone through from stem to stern, DarkSided and those fugly freakin fog and stop lights being ripped off along with a bunch of other crap that's on there.

Marty! I sent this guy an email last Monday and got a phone # to call him back. So I did. He said some guy in Albany or somewhere like that pretty much had bought it but then went home and for whatever reason called Paul back and told him... "Nope, I can't get it". After dreuling on that bike myself and trying to figure out "IF" I could only convince my wife that I needed a third valk in the garage. I knew that their wasn't much chance in that option. I told Engemt about it. My apologies Marty.... As I sit here and think about it... I remember talking to you and having my cousin go look at the interstate in Pittsburgh,ks for you.. I would have contacted you about it as well.... I am just glad someone I know is getting an amazing good deal. And just maybe he just might let me ride it around the block. My heart goes out to the owners widow. The gentlemen that owned this bike had a massive heart attack and passed away and his buddy Paul was trying to help sell the bike. I have no idea why he didn't return Marty's email but just maybe he returned mine cause my last name is "Studebaker"... Well, I know their will be many more deals going into the fall so keep your eyes pealed! I'll watch for you too bud... Yeah Grey... we need to get the okies and the kansans together for a ride and lunch kinda deal somewhere down by the border of the two states. I will work on trying to figure out everyone's schedule and seeing what we can come up with. I can tell you that I WILL be riding down to Cassiday this september so I can catch up with some of the members I haven't ever seen or haven't seen in awhile. John (engemt), let me know when you head up and I'll give you a lift to the airport.

In my case I initially emailed that guy 3 hours after it was posted on Craigslist with followup emails every couple of days for the first week. When the seller doesn't have a phone number listed and the only email address is the one through Craigslist and he's not answering that, what are you supposed to do? Marty

Marty Marty i hear ya, That does suck when they do that, in the market myself for a 2nd bike, my brother has not been much help to go look at a Indian for sale in So,Ca, kinda hard to do these cross country purchases, that is a understatement! The seller of this bike is a nice guy, he is helping his best friends widowed wife, and he has even road the bike 100+ miles to meet a guy half way so he could purchase it, and the guy was a moron! a complete waste of time for him, He prolly seen that my # prefix came up local and called me the next day. He told me he was just about ready to pay her himself and just keep the thing after the one guy Bs'd him. he is a busy guy also went to his place of business New Commercial truck sales and 2 people were sitting in front of him at his desk and he had the phone to his ear, i just waved and waited outside for him, Willow did the right thing by asking Engemt to call a VRCC member to give a hand that lives in the area, if you see anything in the New England area again please PM us or myself i would be more than willing to help, Greg.
