I've had a 2000 Valk for a year and a half and love it. I have always just used it for work and running around. My girl of 22 years has left me and I would really like to get out and make some new friends. I live in the Culpeper, Orange, Fredericksburg area. If there anyone out there that would like to invite me on a ride I would really appreciate it. I only know a few people who ride and they are all Harley and the only way to ride with them is on a Harley. I just rented a Fat Boy for 3 days in Key West and I really missed my Valk. Hope to hear back from some Va. people and go riding.

Hey Jed, I'm Jess, and live a mile north of Ft Belvoir off Route 1 (22309).  Mine of 25 just left last year, so I said what the hell, and retired.  I ride year round.    I'm always looking for folks to ride with.  My email is on my profile, shoot me a message.  You still working?  Thursday is 52 high.

jedfred,

sorry to hear of your loss.  but look at it in the positive, now you can ride when ever, were ever, you want!!  my wife (of 18 years now) hates my cycle.  she's taken one ride with me for about one mile and she says she'll never do that again!!  so, now i'm waiting for her to leave me so i don't have to ask for permision to go on long trips with my buddy Nitro.

he'll be busy for the next 18 years though, just had a kid, little ankle bitter!!

welcome aboard, this is an excellent place to learn about the valk.

I called my wife sunday when I was 400 miles from home on my bike and told her about what time I'd be home....Missed it about a hour but we did go clean our bikes up ....Got home the house was spotless and pork ribs smokin' on the grill....You guys that have to ask your wife for permisson to do this or that  Undecided   I don't get it I'm a full grown man and will never ask if I can do anything....For the record I do always inform her of my plans.

+1 from NY

I must be leading a charmed life, my wife is one of the main reasons I got the Valk so she could ride with me in comfort as the Valk passenger seat is much more agreeable than the one on my old 750

Her friends say how can you let your husband ride. She answers if I wouldnt let him ride he wouldnt be my husband

Welcome to the club.  Sure you will find plenty of gals who will love to ride with you down the road.

Welcome to the club!!  cooldude

Give me a shout if you're planning on riding down my way.

I'll do the same anytime that I plan to ride up your way.

I'm always glad to show people around my neck of the woods.

I'm tentatively planning a ride the first week end in June.

I'm leaning towards Front Royal - Winchester.

The wife and one of my other riding buddies are thinking VA Beach.

I'll let you know what we decided.
