I have my reservations at Waynesboro and Sparta, and am planning to ride if all goes according to plan, and Irene doesn't end up closing the Parkway.

I have my reservations at Waynesboro and Sparta, and am planning to ride if all goes according to plan, and Irene doesn't end up closing the Parkway.
As of right now I don't think Irene will cause this ride any problems ( downed tree's , mud slides , etc. ) ....Time will tell ....Fingers crossed  |

I have my reservation made for Sparta. I will be camping Thursday and Friday nights at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle camp ground and hooking up with Joe's group for the ride north on Saturday. Looking foward to meeting everyone !!

Joe,
I changed my plans and will be riding with you guys up from Maggie Valley. I got a reservation at the Holiday Motel and at the Allegheny Inn. So I will be leaving Michigan on Thursday afternoon after work and probably staying in Georgetown KY Thursday night. I'll ride down an hook up with you on Friday. Just need a time and place.
I'll figure out Sunday and Monday after I get there. See you Friday.

I am riding up out of Alpharetta Ga. Friday morning around 9:00. I am meeting Smokin' Joe in Telico Plaines around lunch time for the ride across the Cherohala Skyway and into Maggie Valley.
I was wondering if anyone near me was going and if you would like to ride up together. Just let me know.

Well, wound up not being able to make this ride (bummed). Got roped into workin' our local Booms Day event here in Knoxville. Settin porta johns all night last night & gotta go in tonight at 11pm to start pickin 'em up. This sucks s*** in the rain, literally!
Just wanted to send a shout out to Smokin Joe! When we didn't show up Fri. night (& I forgot to call anyone) he called me to make sure we were all right. Now that's a Brother right there. Keepin up with everybody, even the dummies like me.
Man I hope y'all havin' a great ride.
