Would like a stock windshield, but have gathered that they are impossible to find. Is there an aftermarket one out there that looks pretty close? If not then whats popular/good quality? I'm looking at this as maybe part of my winter upgrades for my 99 std.

Well stock was the plan, but I've gone as far as checking some local yards and cannot find A stocker even a damaged one to rob the hardware from. I'll take a look at national cycle.

I'd try for hardware from Pinwall Cycle (and maybe even an OE shield if it's decent), then order a Clearview for std/tourer. To my knowledge, only Clearview makes direct replacement shields for OE hardware.
Another way to go might be the Memphis Shades batwing fairing, but even the tallest shield for it is pretty puny.

A couple nice things about the Clearview...you can order different sizes, and if you scratch it you can buff it out. You can't do that with an OEM shield because of its plastic covering.

Youngpup, I have an OEM windshield and hardware that I would sell pretty cheaply. It's the only windshield I've tried on the Valk, so I can't compare it to the others. But I didn't care for it. Made wind hit me from a lot of weird angles. Maybe I'm just the wrong height for it. I tend to prefer riding without a shield anyway. I live on the far north side of Indy (Carmel, really). So I'm not terribly far from you in Valpo.
