Was at the Run to the Heartland bike festival in Sebring Florida today.  While walking out, I saw what has to be one of the most embarrassing things.  A rider and his passenger in the long row of parked bikes, on the ground with their tipped over bike.  A bunch of other bikers went over and helped them up and picked up the bike.  No one smirked, giggled, laughed or made a wise acre comment, not even after the 2 guys left.

I though it was a nice scene.

I guess there's 2 kinds of bikers.  Those that have dropped their bikes, and liars  2funny

Yep the Fat Lady is a HEAVY weight!

Knocked mine over last week trying to knock the Sh!!!!t out of our recently adopted (not by choice of mine, relatives) dog either take him in or they were gonna put him down F'nnn idiots. He is a whinner and howler and I work nights (sleep days), so I went to swat at him with a fly swatter and leaned to hard over the seat of my I/S and over she went. Broke a couple things and now I really want this Dog out of my yard. Gotta buy a new windsheild a new Kuryakyn ISO highway peg and mount and a new fog light for under my crash bar. Scratched up the trunk a little bit and the speaker box on the trunk also. Took me and both my sons to push/pull her back up, she was suck against my fence...

I dropped it a couple years ago making a slow speed U-turn in some gravel going TOOOOOO slow and down she went, luckily I got my leg out fast enough and My Brother-In-Law was able to give me a hand to ge her up on her wheels.

Nice they didn't laugh about it but sorry I would have gladly helped lift  but I sure would have laughed about it not at  them. I laugh at my own uh oh's so no big deal.

You meet the nicest people on a Honda. We've all been there. Sometimes we just have to help each other out.

Wow wish I was that lucky. Dropped mine a few months back while leaning over to push close on the garage door keypad. got my leg pinned (wouldn't have gotten stuck except for my size 13 Logger type work boots) and was laying on the pocket that had my phones in it. got to hang out laying in my driveway for about 2 hrs til my neighbor came out to leave for work. No damage aside from a busted rear turn signal, just lots of hurt  pride..... Embarrassed

I have to admit that I haven't dropped any of my Valks yet...although I have been sure several times that it was going over....thank you Lord for giving me a lot of leg strength!  Did drop a HD Heritage Softail Classic several years ago in a parking lot at low speed when I cranked the forks over hard and hit the brakes at the same time to stop so I could back into a parking space.  Stepped off and just bent down and picked it right back up...embarassment can give you strength too!   Grin

I have dropped every bike I`ve had except the Valkyrie. I dropped a KAW. about 2 miles in the brush, turned it up side down, would not re-start, had to PUSH-PULL that B$%^&#* to the road. I was a LOT younger in those days.  Sold it the next day.  Angry

Dropping a bike is easy to do.

They are only two wheels there you know.

The pursuit of not droppng it again is good.

Knowing when it is hopeless to hang on and to let it go,,,,,,,,, is priceless.

I can't remember who's bike this was but I'm confident that one of the long-term VRCC'ers will recall this strange incident.

I have been fortunate not to drop the valk.  I shudder at the thought of fixing it if I do.  Although, I have been close a few times.  I dropped some of my other bikes but none of them were as big or heavy as the valk so there was not much or any damage done.

That looks photoshopped.  Looks too good to be in that position.

I don't remember the specifics, but if that's the one I think it is (Memory's starting to go, ya' know) I believe it was in Oklahoma, and it was real, not Photoshopped...

Edit - Here's a few more pics of the incident from the Oklahoma Valk forum:

I remember the photo from a long ways back.

I think someone said the bike was held in that position by the barb wire fence.

I might be wrong so don't go off 1/2 cocked on my post.

Thanks.
