Of the three the only one who builds anything rideable is Sr. The other two build very expensive crotch jewelry. Sr. wins by default.

haven't seen jessy james make anything "original" like jr's designs.  his cycles are much like the ones the old man makes....  then again, what the hells up with a snowmobile?????

That's debatable.  One thing that's not is that Sr is a jackass.

I can't stand JJ, that guy just makes me want to kick him in the face.  He has to be the most arrogant arse that I have seen on tv in a long time.  Sure, he can build a bike but he sucks in every other aspects in life.

I think Jr. builds nice looking but totally impractical bikes, Sr.'s are more practicle, Jessie James builds, uh...choppers..haven't seen any one of them build a proper FLAT 6.

Agreed. Total douchebag. And really, he's great with an English wheel. That's the extent of his unique talents. Though these days that's kind of a big deal.

Ditto.  What the heck is up building a tracked snowmobile thingy?  At least Jr and Jesse are actually building a bike.

During the Cadilac build-off between Jr and Sr........Jr nailed it and Sr, IMHO totall missed the mark.  He's doing it again with this stupid snowmobile thing.

Jesse is a craftsman for sure.  Jr is an artist for sure.  Sr is a jerk for sure.  Jr for the win.   cooldude

Who cares.  It's fun to see the bikes that they can come up with......and it's fun to rip on Sr.

At least Jr and Jesse are actually building thieir bikes.  Sr just walks in with a cup of coffee and says "what's up" after his crew built his bike for him.

well, my vote goes to Jessy James.  he was the ONLY one that built an actual "chopper"!!  JR's cycle is beautiful, but not something you'd see running to the store everyday.

as for senior, well, we've got 4 inches of nice snow......  don't know what the hell i'd do with those cigarette lighters......  just a plain out right stupid design....

Jr. - There's probably over a thousand rivets on this tank

Sr. - I'm glad you all opened this up, I wanted to see what's going on under the hood.

Jesse gets my vote for the metal work and for having the only bike in the competition that I'd ride a lot.

The riding position on Jesse James' chopper looked painful even for him on the show tonight.

The bike Paul Jr. built is the ugliest thing I've ever see him put together

The 3 wheel trackster Paul Sr. built is totally unique. He wins by a long shot IMHO

All 3 of their personalities need work,

For a build off SR loses hands down. His "thing" is nothing about a motor cycle.
I do like the looks of Jr's, if I had to choose.
The good part about Jesse is at least he did hand build most of the frame work.
The only other thing they should have done is like in the other build-offs; RIDE THE BIKE to the location, to see which one makes it.

While I am not a big fan of any of them I have personally seen some of Jessie’s work on motorcycles as well as a couple of the cars he built and the guy has good skills. Clean welds which he makes himself and smooth metal work both of which are his forte.  I do not know that either Sr. or Jr. do as much of that sort of work especially in building the frames.  I have seen a couple of their early bikes and they did not impress me as being innovative in any way.  I think Jr’s Cadillac bike was the only one that looked inspired.  I liked what he did with the back end however I wondered if he was inspired by the Victory motorcycles rear treatment.

I stopped watching well before the Sr. vs Jr. thing. At that time every "build" was the same S&S engine on the same ridged frame with different jewelry welded to the tins. I was bored by the third show. The last few segments I've seen remind me of a show my wife occasionally watches called, "The Real Housewives of (I think Orange County)"
A lot of drama, no technical innovation, some craftsmanship with the paint and metal work. Most of the stuff I've seen on TV looked good. I've been told that it doesn't look as good in person.

I've watched American Choppers from the beginning.  I love the creative process and watching those guys work with their hands turning concept into reality.

The series is hurting and looking for ideas.  That crap last night was almost unwatchable.  Acting like little kids on the school yard.

The bikes are all show pieces....not for riding.

OK, I'll fess up...I voted for Paul Jr's bike..it was the closest thing I saw to something that might be rideable (with a real seat), but have to say I think that "thing" Sr's boys built would be a ton of fun, even if it isn't anything remotely like a bike.  Jesse is just one more rendition of the same thing he always builds..and looked like it was way to uncomfortable to ride for more than a mile.

Yep. That Jason kid is a goofy douche. Also I stopped watching because I got tired of Jr's constant bitching about his father. Poor rich kid has talent but without his father and his Father's money he probably never would have had the opportunity to fully explore/discover it. Yeah Sr is what Sr is but a bit of loyalty is deserved.

Watched about 30 min and switched to another show. Jesse is a douche, talented, but a douche.
Way past tired of the whole Sr/Jr thing. Jason is just another sad excuse of talent with a 'poor me' attitude.
I will watch bike build offs, if the bikes are ridden to the show destination. After seeing a Kendell Johnson and Rick Fairless bike, I have seen real talent.  Rick still had the JOKER bike on display at his shop when we stopped by 3 years ago.
OCC was scheduled for an appearance at Charlotte, but was cancelled. Never heard the reason.

Spent a couple of days with Jesse James while shooting the Promo for the show.  Rode my Valk to his house for the tech scout because I had just come from a rally in Luckenbach and his place is not far from mine.  Was really surprised to find that he was a very nice guy!  Basically, he's a savvy business man who happens to be a gear head.  He's also an accomplished artisan who has honed his craft over the years by doing things like study old world blacksmith techniques for months at a time in Israel.

Although he was not that interested in the Valkyrie - too many cylinders I suspect - he went nuts for my business partner's old 883 Harley flat tracker rat rod.  Said that the 883 was the first bike that he had ever customized for anyone and was proud that the owner still had the bike.  He also offered to give my business partner new shocks and to help him hot rod the motor.  I think he was just being nice, but he did take us over to his private stash of bikes and proceeded to tell us about all the mods he had done to make the bikes faster and to handle better.  I didn't really understand everything he was saying, so I just smiled and nodded a lot.

Anyway, I came away with a totally different perspective of Jesse James than when I first met him.  Another thing is that he's really into old American made tools.  Here's a pic of him working this huge hammer that's 100 years old, or so.  Apparently, it helped build the Golden Gate Bridge.  Jesse saved it from the scrap heap and got it working again....

That was Sr's ex wife.  I just looked at it again.  I don't think she pushed him at all.  Looked more like she was patting him on the back to me.  Then again, maybe she did push him....just a little.   Evil

Well, I have lots of respect for Jesse James's skills as a fabricator.  And the fact that he used some old-world blacksmithing techniques and stainless steel is cool.  But the style is basically the same "Diablo" bike he was building back 10-15 years ago.  And he can say all he wants about his bike being the most "rideable", but did you see him trying to ride it?  He had to lean over and look under the left handlebar to see where he was even going.  And he may be a nice guy in person, but on tv, douchebag is about as close to a perfect descriptor as I can think of...and say here.

Sr's bike (if you can call it that) is...well...I don't even know what to say about it.  It looked like it barely functioned from the controls. You'd kill yourself at any real speed...the guy totally lost it at brisk parking lot speeds.  All it was good for was spinning around.  And did you see it going (not) on the grass.  Tracks or not, that thing could barely get out of its own way.  It took last place and deserved it.

And then there's Jr's bike.  I didn't vote, but he'd get mine if I did.  The more I watch the show, the more I like his stuff, and the more I think his dad was the problem.  Yeah, some of the theme bikes are pretty cheesey (same as OCC), but that is what the corporate customers want.  And for this build, he had to know he was opening himself up to some jabs about copying Jesse's copper-rivet bike from years ago.  But again, his bikes have style, and they are all different and really creative.  I really liked his trike he built a few episodes ago.  And this bike was the nicest and most creative of the three up there.  Style is subjective, though.  But that's what I like.

Jr vs JJ...I think Jr's strength is in his creativity and design.  I can't say anything about his skills as a welder/fabricator as I haven't seen it up close.  But he's at least proficient if not the master that JJ is.  JJ's strength is fabrication and metal-working. But like I said, it seems he builds the same bikes over and over again...even if he uses different methods or materials, it still looks like the same bike.
