I know some of you believe in the power of prayer so any would be appreciated.

My dad was taken to the hospital sunday and has been in cardiac ICU for a second day now

What we know is he can't move his legs or his right arm,
he has Pneumonia, a staph infection on top of his normal diabetes problems and leg ulcers
and is not eating, but we can get him to sip a little at a time.

He never complains, a real depression era kid.  He wrote the book on how to
audition a secretary, well not really  Wink

So any prayers you can send Barnett (Barry) Rogers would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks

Pic is back when dad retired 12 years ago  He just turned 82 last wednesday

Prayers from Pearland, TX for your Dad and family.  Man, you can surely tell that you are his kid.  I am told I look a lot like my Dad, but he died when I was 10.

Prayers for the healing hands of God.

thank you everyone for the good wishes

I printed out the thread (which ended at Valker when I left for the hospital)
and read the wishes to my pop.  He was smiling and upbeat as always and makin nice
with the nurses.  (where do you think I get that from? )

They added a few more kinds of antibiotics and he was able to sort of wiggle his fingers and hold a cup with his left hand so he is I think not getting any worse for now than he has been
He has had the hiccups for a day now  Mom went ballistic when a dr suggested thorazine to stop them

Took mom food shopping and made her dinner when I got her home as she was beat from standing most of the day by his side at the hospital and making sure the meds are taken etc She reported one shift nurse who never brought his pain med after 3 hours late and the staff are falling in line lol

Now I sit down at the puter and am blown away by how many good wishes, even more than secretary posts get

Tomorrow night I will read dad the rest of them

You folks are true family and like Joe says, you never forget
who was there sending prayers for your loved ones.
