I put some better horns on. With a relay triggered with the stock wires. Works good. Also have some aux lights from the PO. Now I have a few too many wires on the battery post.

So I started researching about adding the aux fuse block in the near future. I want to trigger a relay to power it. Have seen pics on here of the aux 5 amp wire but I can't find it. I know it is suppose to be white with a black trace.

I actually pulled the little fuse block loose and looked at the wire coming out of the back where the aux fuse is and it is white with a black trace. It goes into the main harness and who knows where? Is it under the right side cover or could it be somewhere else on a 01 I/S?

It's under the right side cover. There are a pair of wires inside a sleave. One of them will be the one you are searching for. cooldude

Keep looking for it. The way mine was buried, it took me at least 45 minutes of digging. It was behind every other wire there and I had to fish it around the others. Big pita.

If you're shopping for an Auxiliary Fuse Panel and are considering the Centech, you might wanna take a look at the PC-8.  IMHO, it's a much better product than the Centech.  It gives you six switched fused circuits as well as two unswitched (hot/powered) fused circuits.  You might want to use the unswitched circuits for stuff like power ports or alarms.  Use the switch circuits for stuff like heated jackets, spots, fog/driving lights, radios/cd players, etc.

I'm using the PC-8 along with the 50 amp relay/wiring harness.  30 amp power for the switched circuits and 20 amp power for the unswitched.

+1 on the Eastern Beaver PC-8.

It is a quality item, I have one on each of my Valks. Don't let the fact that Eastern Beaver is out of Japan scare you. The guy is American living abroad and is very responsive to questions, etc even being half-way around the world.

I have ordered a ton of stuff from there and always get it within a week or so. If you pay like 10 or 12 bucks more, you have it in three days.

YMMV

FYI, Centech also makes a model that is partially switched with the rest always on. I have the switched model and think it's great.

Well I looked for at least 30 minutes. Maybe another 15 will do it.  Cheesy

I found about every other wire. Even ones I didn't know about. Stuff in the lower right for a passenger push to talk switch from what I've read I think.  I may have to remove the battery box to get some access in behind things.

Here is a pic.

It works the way it is, so I may just leave it for this season. It does really need cleaned up though. The PO crudely spliced into the brake, parking and turn signal wires on the left side of the pic for a trailer hitch plug.

Does anyone have pics of where you mounted your aux panels? I was going to do it like Kingbee's ( http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,4098.0.html ) with a cheap panel from Napa. But definitely will check on these other options. I really want to leave the area behind the battery open so I can put the CB there for a future SuperValk conversion.

No, No fog lights. I thought maybe the Po used it for something and cut the end off, but I think I found everything he had added and they just went straight to the battery. I'm going to look some more tonight after work. When I first started looking all the wires were the same color....11 year old road grime brown.

The wire is tucked away laughing at you it's like hunting Asparagus. You walk all over the tender shoots until you find your first one then you can see them Smiley

Here's a shot of mine.....

The PC-8 has a wire that needs to be connected to that accessory wire.  If you look close, that's the black wire going up into that rubber sleave that covers the bullet connectors.

Maybe this drawing will help.  It's gotta be in there somewhere.   cooldude

Here's some shots of my PC-8 install.  I just got it installed last night.  I'll start wiring my spots, driving/fog lights, power socket for the woody's fairing and sterero later tonight.

LOL. I also don't know anything about hunting asparagus. Is it like this??  Grin Don't think I was in it that deep yet.

BF, I wish I had all that real-estate to work with! Is that a starter I see there?
Your PC-8 is right where I want the CB to go. Not much room left in an I/S. Looks like a nice clean install though.

You could take the tool pouch out and have plenty of room to mount the PC-8 or your cb in there.

BF you do a nice wiring job.

Custom1- that is mid season Asparagus. Here in Mich. it comes up along roadside ditches and railroad tracks. People are out looking along country roads for the spears when they first sprout. I had my own patch.

Found the little Sprout. I took the battery out and was just about ready to try and remove the battery box when I saw a tiny bit of white wire. It was jammed in between the back of the starter and a big pack of wires. No way to see it from either side.

Here it is moved to where it should be.

Now I have to find the small bullet connectors.
