Wishing I had the chance to have met Pat in person.
It says a lot about a guy when so many speak so highly.
I hope half as many kind words are spoken when I no longer grace the world with my presence.

I was out of town this weekend and just now reading this. I am in shock, I met Pat at one of the Michigan Inzanes (can't remember which one). He was a good guy, the kind of guy when you first meet him you felt like you've known him forever. He will be missed by the VRCC family and my condolences go out to Deb and their family.

I've tried to respond to this thread a few times, but I just didn't know what to say.  Even though I've know them for years, I hadn't spent any real quality time with him and Deb.  Yet, the sadness that I'm feeling is much stronger than it logically should be.  I guess the reality is, the time I did spend with Pat at various events over the years, it was hard not to see what a warm, friendly, great person he was.  Always a smile, and kind friendly conversation.  It was like we were old friends each time I saw him.  My heart goes out to Deb and his family in this difficult time.   Cry

I never met him but from reading these posts it sounds like he positively effected each one of you that he came in contact with.  I am sorry to hear of his untimely passing and I am sorry that I will not have the opportunity to know this man who was loved by so many.  May he ride freely wherever the road has taken him.

Susan and I met LaserPat and Deb in  Michigan or Colorado.  When Stude31 and Pharmboy and all the rest speak about Pat you know its from the heart.  So many nice words of sympathy to Deb that say so much about a man we really didn't know and missed the chance to be better for it.  Our deepest sympathy.

You can shed tears that he is gone

Or you can smile because he has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember himand only that he is gone

Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I have read the posts since I had last commented a while back and I'm sorry but how can anyone make it to page three and not have tears down their cheeks    :'(  :'(

One could only hope to be half a man as he was...  Never a frown always a smile...  I went for a ride yesterday with a heavy heart and this came over the speakers and made me think of Pat.
