OK, this frustrating. This is a common item most often found on women's bags and even on motorcycle handlebar bags, etc. It a button looking thing. On one part you have a hole and on the other part you have a twistie thing that fits into the hole. You turn the twistie thing a half a turn to lock the two pieces together.

The pouch on my take bib is held closed with velcro. The velcro is wore out and the flap flaps in the wind. i want to put one of these things on it to hold it closed but I don't know what it's called, hence I can't find it.  Sad

A twist lock thingy perhaps?  Bet Talisman (site sponser) leather tank bibs and stuff could help ya.

I believe Turn Lock is what you're after, and here's a bit of deja-vu:

I read your post to my wife.  She laughed for about 7 minutes and she said it's just called a locking clasp.

you can try any sewing/crafts store, such as Jo Ann's Fabrics, they carry stuff like that, I have fixed many a thing using that store, they do not just carry knitting supplies..

Oops, my age is showing.  crazy2

I'll check the local sewing / craft stores and if I can't find it locally I'll order it from Tandy.

Thanks all.

Your local shoe repair might have them... and they might be able to attach it..

I have a local guy that repairs lots of leather goods....

Have you considered just replacing the velcro ?

The velcro on mine is about worn out and  that is what I plan to do.

I asked my wife and she knew exactly what I was talking about so we dd a bunch of searching. You can find may different styles, sizes, etc. by searching for several different words. It seems that they really don't have specific names, other than just turn locks, or turn clasps, etc.

Here's a ling I hit on e-Bay that has many different types so you can at least kinda figure out which type you might want and a little more about how to find it.

Thank you sir, no doubt I'll find the right one in this selection.

I thought about replacing the velcro but that would require a sewing machine and sewing skills, neither of which I have. I figure a twisty lock would be a permanent fix.

You'd be surprised at how well either contact cement or Shoe goop would hold a fresh strip of velcro on. Cheap and requires no special skills- right up my alley.
