I have a 2000 Valk 1500 Interstate.  The end piggies (why are they called this?) are removed from the OEM pipes.  These pipes are rectangular at the end.  When cruising at 65 mph and up, it becomes a drone and I would like to get rid of the noise without buying all new pipes.  I also do not want to try to fabricate piggies.  Are there any silencers that could be installed?   Thanks.

You've asked this question repeatedly.....and help has been offered.

The piggies are called piggies because there's three at the end of each pipe......three little pigs.....get it?

The drone is a resonance inside the exhaust tip caused by those pipe extentions (the piggies) missing from the end of the exhaust can.  That's why mother Honda put them on there....to get the exhaust out all the way to the end of the exhaust tip so that the exhaust note wouldn't resonate inside the exhaust tip.

If you don't want to fabraicate anything, then your stuck with it and there's nothing you can do.

If however, you want to fix it instead of whining about it, there are several options open to you.  If you'd post a pic of what's left of your piggies (if anything) that would help alot in determining what options are available to you.  Take some pics of the end of your pipes with the exhaust tips removed and post them here.

The ball is in your court.

What's with posting the same question over and over?  This is worse than a newbie who asks a common question without searching it first.

If you have the stock end covers, get some stainless steel screen (prevent rust) and cut and fold it over to compress into the end caps. Then get bronze wool at a furniture repair store and pack the end covers with this. It should smooth out the drone.

I don't have the stock tips but I did kind of the same thing with my 4" truck stacks to kill some of the drone out on the highway.

Before with the glasspack mod-truck stacks with no internal baffle:

With the shadetree baffles installed:

Looks and sounds even better now with a set of Grumpy's tips to complete the 4" truck stack package:

If there are stubs left, you can solder copper pipe onto them in whatever configuration you want. If not,
MarkT at horseapple ranch sells end plates with the piggies on them. He's a site sponsor as well.

No: I've not done this but a member overseas tried it on my suggestion. His country was very strict on noise and his piggies had been cut. The Stainless and bronze are needed due to moisture in the exhaust. Steel wool can burn when it rusts and gives off iron oxide.

Here's Hedgehog's thread on how he installed MarkT Piggy Plates using Gun Gum instead of a welder:
