It's that time once again,,, The bluebonnets should be out in their splendor this spring with the rains we've had lately.  We're going to move it forward this year since we missed the blossoms last year.  We're going to do it this year on Sunday March 24.  This will put it 3 weeks prior to GOTF (and the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival), so consider this a "warm-up" ride and steak 'n bacon extravaganza !  If you think you'll make this ride, please respond with your name(s) so I can give a number to Sodolak's Country Inn so they'll know how many hogs to slaughter for our visit.  We're counting on the fog gods to once again smile on our endeavor this year  We'll meet in Hempstead at 0830am at the same Exxon/McDonald's at Hway290 @ FM1488 on the NE corner of intersection as in previous years  KSU @ 0900hrs.  For those coming directly to the restaurant, we'll plan on arriving there at 1130am.

Unless BJ knows of some other commitment we have, we will be there.  Maybe the fog will be nonexistent this year.  Yea, right.

Count me as a Maybe.  If I can make it, 1) I'll let you know ahead of time, and 2) I'll meet you at Sodolak's.

I'm a maybe - the Easter events with the business are killing me on the weekends.  But I think I can sneak away after a long Saturday with multiple petting zoos, Easter Bunnies, etc out and about.

As with Disco, will meet you at Sodolak's.

Last weekend (yesterday and the day before) was my only "free" weekend this month.  I could go on Saturday the 16th, but on the 24th I'll be north of Austin in a seminar.

Maybe I can talk you into a "reprise" of the ride?  So I can go get MY share of the chicken fried bacon?

I saw them on 6 between Hempstead and Navasota 8 days ago.  Saw more between College Station and Austin last Tuesday.  Looks like a bumper crop this year.

If this ride is on Sunday, I probably will not be out playing with you.

Hey Bobby, put me down as a maybe...my schedule is dependent upon my son's baseball tournament schedule.

On the flip side, saw my first bluebonnet yesterday!  It was at the entrance to my neighborhood growing out of a pile of dirt that construction workers had set aside last year to start construction on a new bridge -- beauty in the midst of chaos!

I saw bluebonnets along 35 today in Alvin.

You know, before the VRCC became part of my life, seeing bluebonnets never made me hungry for chicken-fried bacon.  Now, well .........

My "Maybe" status went to "Possibly" yesterday, and then to "Can't Make It Happen" today.

Bummed I'll miss it but thankful for the extra work on Saturday and Sunday.

I want every one of you who attends to eat a strip of CFB for me.
