I picked up 5 OEM Filters for the Valk. They are real stubby filters, the one I have on the bike now is much longer? It has been awhile since I owned my last Valk and I guess I just don't remember the filter being so small.

I think Honda shortened the filter on the 1800 Wing, and I've read they now spec that same filter for the Valkyrie.  I just buy Purolator PureOne filters instead.

Honda did do that. funny I was able to sneak the org past the fairing no problem on a friends GL1800.

Depends on how often you change your oil.   FWIW  Roll Eyes

Honda recomends 8000 miles per oil change. I've been going 7000 miles with synthetic.

I don't ride as much  as I would like, 4,000 to 5,000 a year so it gets changed once a year, need it or not.

I ran amsoil 10w30/30 diesel oil for 2 yrs for a total of 8200 miles. oil analysis done at 4k miles and 8200 miles temp ranges were 20F to 100F. both reports stated oil was good for continued use. these engines are very easy on oil.

my report and a royal purple report
