I'm looking for the ACC wires on an Interstate. I know the switchable lead is white with a black tracer as I went to the fuse block to identify it. Now I'm looking for a sleeve with that wire and a ground like you would find on a Std or Tourer, but to no avail. I have looked all over for them under the right side cover. Where am I going wrong? Help please!  tickedoff

tickedoff tickedoff So I've looked everywhere for another hour and I'm not finding the accessory terminals. I've essentially have removed everything except the battery box looking for them. Where did Honda put them? Again it's an I/S. Please help me if you can! Thank you!

On my I/S under the right side cover as you are sitting on it I have a female plug that is 12 volt with key on. Don't remember what color it is but it's there with ALL the other wires. NOT a very big plug nor is the wire very heavy-guage wise. I found it it accident. RIDE SAFE.

correct, I went to target and bought a 6 foot long mp3/aux jack wire for a few dollars. it has a male plug on each end. plug on end inti the female plug under the side cover and fish the other end under the fuel tank up to the handle bars. then I plug my mp3 player into it, set the radio control to acc and crank it up.

Sorry guys I'm not making myself clear. I'm referring to the accesoty wires that are used for an electrical connection. I have already got my mp3 plug in that can be heard on the ACC setting of the radio.

Both ground and power are inside a tube/ protector. You have two wires going in one end, and nothing coming out the other end. cooldude

Michvalk thanks for the response, but I can't find them. Where would be a likely location? I know they would probably be sleeved.

This thread has a good picture.  But as to where it comes from, I have no idea.

Hope this helps.

The single wire one I'm talking about is a red wire. It is a female connection on the bike under the right side cover. Hope this helps. RIDE SAFE.

Are you sure the previous owner didn't cut if off?  It'd probably be a bitch to find, but can you source the originating point of the the acc. wire and trace it out?

That wire (along with the ground wire) should be on the bike somewhere.

I found that wire but the voltage output was only 5-6 volts or so. There is also a black wire with a male end with it or near it. The actual accessory wire should be white with a black tracer. there should also be a ground wire with it in a sleeve.

Bruce I don't think the previous owner (a one owner bike) cut the accessory wiring off. The bike is bone stock and was only ridden 7000 miles in 14 years. He just rode it once in awhile.

Mine was all mashed in with the extra wires from the radio. I think they are the hookups for the CD player option. Two heavy black connectors with caps. They were all twisted together.  cooldude

There was a CD player option? Any still around? Or could you use a different one?

That's the one I kept finding too, it's for the passenger push to talk switch.

It's there under the right side cover.

Don't be fearful of pulling all that stuffed-in wiring out and

getting a better view of what's there.

That accessory wiring is there. Just have to look harder, especially true

since the bike has been used very little.

Dig in there.

I had my bike apart last year,, battery box out, all modules and relays removed , carb bank out, starter and center cover removed, main wiring harness disconnected from the frame and most connectors undone,, I mean the decks were cleared....  I never did find any accessory wiring,, now I wasn't specifically looking for it, but never saw it.

Glad to hear your story Pancho. I have spent literally hours looking for this damn wiring and removed a lot of stuff looking for it. Never did find it. So I did give up and used a quick connector to splice into the accessory wire behind the fuse block. Job done!!!   crazy2
