Hi!

A trip with my SO last week reminded me that I need to find/purchase larger luggage for my Tourer.

I have one similar to this:

... but it is too small for the type of traveling I hope/expect to do in the future.

I'm looking for a very large T bag to fit on the rear of my Tourer.

Any suggestions/tips would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

I will have a close look at each of your suggestions.

That does look pretty good for the price. I really like the way the whole side opens.

You might want to take a look at Nelson Rigg's Survivor series. I've had one of their bags for a long time and really like it. I have one of the old SVT-1000 bags, but it's been superceded by a newer model (Survivor Dry Tourer) that will also accommodate a roll bag on top of it for even more capacity.

I like many of its features ... especially the square shaped roll bag.

I have been wondering if this Nelson Riggs Survivor Dry Tourer set is soft or rigid.
If not full, will these units be saggy, or will they hold their shape?
Thanks!

They are soft. There is a rigid panel in the floor of it. If one only packs lightly, one rolls the bag down to the top of the contents, so the height of the bag varies with the volume of the contents.

Great!
Do you think both of them (top and bottom portion) are set-up that way?
Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have any personal experience with that roll bag. I have an older, rigid model (SVT-200) that I use. It's not supposed to be used with the SVT-1000, but I found a way to securely fasten it. The pictures and description of the SVT-250 seem to suggest it works the same way as the main bag, but I suggest you call or e-mail Nelson Rigg for a reliable answer on the roll bag, instead of listening to speculative answers from goofballs like me.  crazy2 Grin laugh

Duh ... after re-reading the description, one can assume that both function the same way.
"Compression straps easily adjust to volume of content".
Thanks a lot! Your tips/insight have been much appreciated!  cooldude
