I have 1997 std Valkyrie and had my heart set on a 2014.  The price was right at 11th plus tax out the door.  Sat on bike something didn't feel right.  Owell  I'll get used to it, went back 3 time and figured out handle bar are to far forward and foot peg are to forward for me also.  I don't want a project bike so no new bike in the garage.  Am I the only one that feels the bike just doesn't fit right?  Thinking of waiting for the FB6 to take a bigger price drop.

There are some really good deals on leftover 13 and 14 F6Bs. I heard of brand new F6Bs going for $13,999 and there may be better pricing yet. The 15s are out and they seem to be selling pretty well with the cruise control Honda added.

same for me when I sat on the 2014.  I have pulled back risers on my '98 valkyrie so the F6B and Goldwing felt exactly the same to me. I'll keep my six pack valkyrie.

nice thread, to each his own. but ultimately it shows how to take a 17K motorcycle and cut its value in half.

That is a bit of a low blow, don't you think?

It's what the rider needed to avoid selling the bike.

You really think changing the bars and risers (and splicing some wires) cuts the value in half?

The only new Goldwing-Valk I would ever buy, is one with these modifications already made.

To each his own indeed.

Just for the record... it fits many of us perfectly.  That is why I bought mine.
I have always admired the 1832cc Goldwing engine and chassis and loved the idea of test-riding a stripped down raw version with bigger wheels and brakes.
Test rode one.
Found it to be perfect.
Bought one.
At 43 yrs old, I feel it is the nicest bike I've ever ridden, and I've ridden since I was a kid.

I enjoy seeing how everyone sets theirs up differently, I think it is cool.
For me personally, it is too close to bull's-eye to change, much.

all the money you spend trying to get it to fit you plus the price of the bike. just how much time and how many road trips have you give up
nothing wrong with old valk's just going to keep both of mine and enjoy the wind and read of all the the headache's that you all are  trying to get it right when it should have been build right the fist time.
got to give Mike a thumbs up he has done everything but relocate the motor I think cooldude
and for me not sure that would be enought
