As everyone knows the indicator lights wash out on bright days.  Found link (below) that upgrades the lamps but seems like a lot of work.  Has anyone come up with just a lamp replacement that is brighter?

Not me. However I did complete Chris' mod and I am quit pleased with the results.

I also did Chris's mod, but I just replaced the Valkyrie turn signal socket with one cut out of the Rebel harness.  IMO, that was easier.  You will like the results...

I have to admit "repinning"  the Rebel plug was a PITA.  Smiley

I too did the Rebel wire harness change.  I do have a couple of comments and/or observations about it.
The WLED-ALX amber bulb for the turn signal indicator is no longer available from superbrightleds.com.  I used a WLED-A -90 bulb instead.  If anyone can find a brighter bulb please let me know.  There are others listed on their site, just make sure that they are not polarized as then they will only blink with one of the turn signals.
The other issue is with the led bulb for the high beam.  It is far too bright and very distracting while using it at night.  I went back to a 194 4 watt bulb which is very easy on the eyes and not blinding at night.

I have to admit that these bulbs are overly bright at night.  I did an easy test of the amber turn indicator a while ago, and found that the flashing lamp actually illuminates the riders face and torso, and that can be seen from 40 feet away.  However, I'm unsure if that is good or bad...

The WLED_ALX amber turn signal indicator bulb on my bike quit working. and that bulb in amber is no longer available.  I found a very nice 35 lumen replacement  for it at superbrightleds.com.  Part number is WLED-A6.
