As I  watched the address what I saw was Trump gave a copy to Pence then Pelosi
Then he turned toward the teleprompter and while he was mostly turned that is when Pelosi made a half hearted attempt to reach out toward Trump

I will watch it again on youtube but that is what I saw

If it was me I would have been sorely tempted to spit in her ugly face but hey that is just me.  You dont make kissy with some person who wants to hurt you

This might help. If he doesn't see her hand, maybe an eye exam is in order.

Not that it matters, after all her and her cohorts have put this honorable  man through, were I him I wouldn't shake her hand either, but he was obviously already pivoting around before she theatrically put her hand out for later plausible deniability.....

They are going to be convinced until the end of time the he deliberately ignored the hand.

As they believe acquittal doesn't mean NOT GUILTY.

If that helps you sleep better at night, good for you.

I sleep well at night.... although after Obama gutted out healthcare system, I've had to resort to ordering my sleeping pills from grey market sources in India, but that's another issue entirely.....

He wasn't snubbed because he never put his hand out for the handshake. Kind of makes one wonder.

I'm no NFL referee, but it was pretty obvious he saw her put her hand out. That's fine. There's no rule saying he has to shake her hand.

Really, quibbling for how long now whether not shaking her hand is equal to tearing up the speech???

If it makes a couple of guys able to stomach what a disgusting piece of garbage the Speaker is by going after the victim, let them have it.  Who cares?  TDS and failed investigations and impeachment attempts will never allow them to see what's really been happening for three and half years to an American citizen who became their President.

I think he should have shook her hand. Then, in the finest of Mr. Monk tradition, pulled out a wipe or 2. Sanitize his hand (both sides), his jacket sleeve and the side of his jacket facing her.

Seriously, I don't know if it was intentional snub or not. I'm good with it either way.  cooldude

This hand shaking thing is already (quite) old.  And I don't care either.

But have you ever had a guy put the vice grip on you really hard, just expecting a regular handshake?

Even if you yourself are capable of a good grip, if the other guy catches you off guard (esp if he gets mostly fingers), you lose.  It's a dirty trick.

If I was Trump, I would not ever touch that woman (and maybe some others).  She could have dropped to her knees in theatrical agony, claiming a handshake assault.  In front of a bazillion witnesses.  Given her past record, she is capable of anything.  Farfetched?  Maybe.  Better to never touch her, period.

I know I wouldn't.   Grin

(And Mike Pence also has some good (smart) rules to live by.)

Harken back to the Kavanaugh charade.

And never be surprised (or offended) if a policeman doesn't want to shake hands.

BOOM. Good one Brian. Using a liberal fact check site to prove Baldo wrong....

I will say this once again. I and many Republican didn't vote for Trump for his morals. We all knew he cheated on his wives. We voted for him to get stuff done but since you brought it up,its kind of like the morals of using tax payer money to pay off women that they assaulted. AL Franken grouped a women on a plane while she slept. A quick Google search found a article about seven government officials that resigned over sexual misconduct. Three republicans and four dems including the previous mentioned Franken. So tell me again how morally superior the dems are over the GOP?

I will make another observation here. How come you NEVER hear how republican people commit voter fraud. If they did it would be front page news on CNN for weeks. It's always like "wait we found uncounted ballets in the trunk of a car". They all happen to be dem ballets but that's just a coincidence. Or voting machines changing repub votes to dem votes. Never the other way. Or dead republicans voting democrat. If we lived in IL I wouldn't be surprised if my dad voted democrat.  Every election we hear stories like this.

You know Bob.  Although it doesn't happen often (politically speaking), I tend to agree.   Though, I do find her action childish, immature and showing a serious lack of character, it was just a few sheets of paper.

Just remember, such demonstrations do have consequences in the public mind.   Her action may have pleased some but has proven to even more solidify Trump's base.   Had she sat there and displayed some class, held her news conference later with a lot less emotion, she may have scored some points.

I think many of our left leaning members seem to be under the delusion that most of us voted for Trump because we were huge supporters.  I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I voted against Hillary more than I voted for Trump.  I didn't care for Clinton Version 1 , thought less of the Obama legacy, and there was no way I was going to see Clinton version 2 as a step in the right direction.

True that.  I was for Rubio or Cruz in the early primary. My wife liked Trump. I told her. "He's not a established politician,he doesn't stand a chance". As the primary went on I liked what I heard. Like Trump said. "What do you have to lose". Sure he's brash and an ass but he was saying what most of us wanted. I voted for him and happy i did. Weather the dems believe it or not he has done a lot of good for the country in three years. Could have done more if the do nothing dems would just get out of the way. Yep he's still an ass and I wish he would lay off the insults on twitter but I will be voting for him again.

The dems got nothing. Free Healthcare, free college, illegal immigrants welcomed...ect. I saw an interview with a constituent in NH. When asked who he was voting for he said Sanders since he will get college tuition forgiveness. My opinion. Dude you took out a loan to go to college. NOW PAY IT BACK you deadbeat......

I went through about the same progression as Mark.  I was no more than luke warm, and I'd never been a fan of his personality.  But against Hillary, I would have voted for Charles Manson (even after he died); hey the guy was a mass murderer, but still would have been better for the country than HRC.

And then it was off to the races, and so many promises kept, so many good judges appointed, and all good for the Country, and MAGA all the way.

The personality and brashness and ego still irritates me (a little), but it irritates the left so much more that I have grown to enjoy it (even embrace it).  And after solid hate and attack and obstruct for his entire term, who wouldn't fight back against your enemies, in government and the media?  He has a right to free speech just like anyone else, and he uses it.  Even though it gets him in trouble from time to time.  Americans have always pulled for the underdog, and even though he's the clear front runner going forward, the constant hate keeps him the underdog anyway.

He is a fighter (when many would have given up, like Bush II), and he fights for the people and common sense things that should never even be debated (like a wall).  And he's made the opposition desperate, and that's also a good thing.  Desperate people always screw up, repeatedly.  The left has gone so far left, the normal left don't even believe it (or like it).

So now I'd fight next to him in a foxhole any time (though I'd probably have to make sure he kept his weapon downrange, and remind him to shut up and not give our position away).   cooldude

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I voted against Hillary more than I voted for Trump.

There were a bunch of "against Hilary" votes cast. One of my dreams is to vote for a President one day.

I voted FOR Trump and against obama and clinton.  You will have a chance to vote for a President in 2020.  Get on the Trump MAGA Train!

Being the good Christians they are, I feel it's about time the Dems stooped to the low moral lever that the Republicans have. And here is another big word,. ad hominum!

There are not enough ladders in the world for the Democrats to reach the moral level of Republicans. We don't believe in killing people because they can't fight back and tiny.
yep, cheating on 3 different wives is a pretty high standard to achieve. And then you throw in stealing from your non profit org, swindling people with a fake university. You’ve got the real makings of the 2nd coming of Mother Theresa.

With morality like that, Republicans are in a league all their own.
Do you really want to go there??? How about Blow Jobs in the Oval Office?? Sticking cigars in interns' pussies?? How about your charity spending almost 150 million to distribute 5 million?? The Haiti funds disappearing?? Etc, etc.
