my 1997 valk . starter relay has 4 wires plugged in one of the wires is broke or not connected, the red and white wire in the back right corner i stripped some of the tape off and can not find the wire
now looking at the cylmer book it shows the red and white wire going to the bank angle sensor but not to the starter relay once it turns to the on position it is stuck now nothing no electric..
now it seems like the battery is shorten out . no power or lights. i had the battery checked 2 times at autozone when it is in off i get power across 12.5 volts it takes a slow charge ok next thing is trying to jump it .reading like .5 or so on the battery something is shorting out.
i ran out of choices.
So, when you put a freshly charged battery in, it is still at 12.5V until you turn the key? Is this measured at the battery, or somewhere else?
Then, you turn the key and the Voltage drops to 0.5V? At the battery?
BTW, even though there are four contacts in the starter relay connector, only three are used. The red/white wire turns on the bank angle relay, which powers the run/stop and starter button switches.
