I thought so, but I bought a NOS Blue one, Memphis Shades Fats 21" with 9" windshield cutout and it's TINY compared to the Memphis Valkyrie Fats it replaced.... I'll try to get some side by side pics after work...

Going to have to start collecting stickers all over again.
Might I suggest: US ARMY as the first one!

I think they sent you a Slim.
It's definitely slimmer than the Valkyrie Fats, but it's also a good 4" shorter... Going to have to start collecting stickers all over again.

Yup, but as this will be Kali's bike once she is somewhere stable for a while, I'll leave the new stickers up to her... Although something like this will be going on my Interstate once she graduates from boot camp...

I'll leave it to Kali since it's going to her, but I can barely ride with that one, I have to close the visor on my helmet or my eyes instantly water to the point I can barely see... Granted, I see over even the old, big one, but the majority of the wind would go up and over my head first... I really need to give it a rest and wait until Kali can ride it and decide what she wants, just part of me can't let it go... So I'll keep looking for a direct replacement to what I had, but it won't be the end of the world if I can't find one I 'spose...

The Slim only comes in heights of 15” and 17”. If it is not 22” wide they sent you a Slim. I suspect the packer got screwed up.

Is the height supposed to be measured from tip to tip, or from the top of the headlight cutout to the top? Measuring from the top of the headlight cutout to the top, the new one is 15.25 inches tall and 19 inches wide. The old one is 21 inches tall by 23 inches wide. (Measured from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of the shield) The new one is ~21 inches tall if measured from the absolute bottom to the absolute top, ignoring the headlight cutout. Edit - I REALLY need to read the fine print more often... Although they were wrong saying it was a Fats, the ACTUAL measurements were right there in the eBay listing... Ugh... "18" wide and 15" tall from top of headlight and 21" tall overall."

Okay, can I get a sanity check, does this look like the size of the old one? (Although it's teal not blue, but Kali likes teal, so...) https://www.ebay.com/itm/202463401675?hash=item2f23c256cb:g:Of4AAOSwS1Vbu7of

It doesn't look like that one is 23" wide. When I measured it I did it across the front, flat against the shield... I.E. with the curvature. Just went back out and put the tape measure UNDER the shield, and my current old one is 22" wife when measured flat. you got it. Did you buy these on eBay vs. Memphis Shades because of the color ? Yup... And Kali "Squeeeee'd" with glee when I asked what she thought of teal instead of straight blue, so that sealed the deal...

It doesn't look like that one is 23" wide. Women never judge inches very well. It’s near impossible to judge from a pic with no reference. But it says 22” wide.

Wait... where the heck does it say 22"? Down in the description. Memphis classifies theirs differently, I think. The Fats are all 22” wide. Then you can get different heights and headlight cut out sizes. I got mine as a 19” with a 7” cut out. I cut down the top about an inch and a half. And trimmed the headlight cut out so that it didn’t flow much wind thru.

I believe the 21" is the height, not the width... That makes sense. It looks like they don't have the measuring tape all the way to the top, so it looked like 19" tall.

FWIW, I had several different Memphis Shades shields (Fats and sports shields) all with black tint on different color bikes, and they looked and worked well. The tint is well below line of sight. And darker helps keep glare down better than lighter.

Looks good, however those appear to be shields for the Honda OEM setup, I have the Memphis Fats brackets and mounts... I 'spose if they can't make one to replace the Memphis setup I can start looking for OEM mounting hardware..... Thanks! They made a custom windshield for my friends VTX 1800 using the Memphis Shades mounting hardware. Worst case scenario you might have to send the hardware to them.

I'm definitely playing it.... Doodle (Brian Jr.) was wearing the new helmet we got to replace the one Kali went down in all night around the house, refused to take it off... He's REALLY gunning to be the next Unsane Buddy.... ....I'll try to go wherever it is, but I'll admit, it's gonna be difficult to go without my Inzane buddy with me, either on pillion or riding behind me..... But, times change, we must adapt with the times.... But it'll be difficult...

Interesting observation/update. The spousal unit has been rather obsessed with figuring out how exactly Kali broke her tail bone. The initial theory that she hit the road didn't hold water, as the butt of the jeans Kali was wearing bear no road rash at all on the butt. Looking at things closer, she got Kali out in the garage and was lining things up, she noticed that even two weeks later (Today's the 2 week mark since the accident) Kali has two distinct bruises on her butt cheek. She had her sit on the Valk, and those two bruises line up perfectly with the "wings" that the Utopia back rest uses to mount the upper and lower halves together. (Photo stolen from Mark T's site) Looking at the damage to the bike (On both sides) and piecing things together as best we can the theory is: Front tire pulled into rut, throwing things off kilter, and guiding the front tire towards the huge pothole at the end of the rut. Kali was fighting to right the bike and exit the rut, thus the impact being on the side of her butt not the middle. Bike hits the huge pothole at the end of the rut, launching the backrest bolts into her tail bone and breaking it, and sending her off the bike as the bike goes down on the right. Gyroscopic precession kicks in snapping the bike even more violently over onto the left side (There IS damage on the right, but the damage on the left is more extensive.) Luckily, even with the broken tail bone Kali had been flung away from the bike before this side to side flopping happened. All just theory, but it lines up and makes sense. Not poopooing Utopia back rests, I still intend to keep mine, just an interesting observation as to what appears to have happened. Brian, Thank you for sharing that observation! I have been thinking about this since I have one of those backrests that I plan to put on my bike. I have decided to weld a small plate over that lower hinge to flatten out the possible impact area. The hinge will still work. I have also noted that there is some space between the seat and the bottom of this seat back. I am going to make some upholstery to fill that in and cover that hinge.
