I got an Email from Theresa this morning stating that Ryan had brought Jig home yesterday from Columbus.  He had the section of skull replaced last Friday, and a bone graft done to replace the bone lost from his ankle on Wednesday.  His feeding tube was removed so I hope all that's left is recuperating.  Those are all the details I have.

hello, friends!
I'd love to extend a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone that visited or called during my rehab! its quite a long list, so I will make every attempt to thank yall in person, but SKinhead probably saved my life (I owe you big time my friend!) thanks for posting the updates and handling the logistics. All the calls and visits sure cheered me up and encouraged me to work hard to get healthy for my dear sweet baby - the lovely Theresa ( who yelled at me in the OR , preventing me from slipping into coma)

I am at home now, in much pain from the bone graft in my ankle - the donor site (hip) is screaming.
Life has changed dramatically for me (grab bars, wheelchairs, walkers) - LUlu decreed "no more motorcycles and Ryan is encouraging me to sell ALL the bikes!
Btw - I was wearing a helmet - the one from New Orleans that the special affects guy developed.
Feeeling just a little better each day... I am really glad to still be sucking air! I love you all!

Good to see you are getting better each day Gig.  Hi to Lulu.

BTW--I had sent some photos from an earlier Yooper ride to you hospital room in Chelsea, but they came back today.  You must have left for Columbus.  I forwarded to you Van Buren Twp address.

Cheers.

It's good to see you post and hear that you're home.  It is a rough road you're on but it's encouraging to hear that progress is being made.

Keep getting better.  We all held our breaths for awhile.

Sorry to hear about your friend.  I was hit and knocked of my ride in late may and also had a head injury with a brain bleed.  I had all my gear on helmet included.  Dr. said I was lucky to be alive.   I have recovered and went back to work at the end of July.  Best wished for your friend and a complete recovery.

Wow: you guys are really the greatest!!! Thank you all so much!!!, the good thoughts, cards, calls & visits  meant tons to me  angel I’m just seeing this thread now- thanks Skinhead for all you’ve done and posting here, much appreciated! Reading this brings many memories flooding back… yes, I wanted Theresa to spring me from the confines, one correction: there was in fact 2 legs broken, one still gives me a bit of trouble. Feeling much better working on stamina… nurses were great they had a party for me with gifts  angel  At one point blood pressure dropped very low, so I requested nurse Celeste to pay a visit & restore blood pressure- it worked, ok maybe it was Theresa beating me that worked. The brain & memory are slowly healing  :cooldude suspect the cloning & zombie procedures were shelved- we’ll have to see - you guys all cheered me up immensely and helped me mentally & made me determined to work hard and walk out the hospital doors with my Sweetheart - thank you all!!!  & St Theresa, too smitten

Randy: thank you for the encouraging words, means a ton to me, Buddy!!!

Bit of explaining due here: I think ol Sinkhead got his Jimmies jumbled because a while back (in Ohio?) Jimmy T accused me of being a mythical beast cuz a -!hat created a “high & tight” hair style upon my now craniotomied skull, like the Vernor’s mascot a Gnome, So I became a 6’4’ gnome - extremely rare… Of course Tons of puns ensued  :2funny.   Thus, gnome more riding & so on…
Ski headed, meet Jimmy G, Jimmy T, buy a vowel.  Ginger beers all around  coolsmiley

Blue Super Moon tonight- woo hoo-  Yoopers call it a Sturgeon Moon… whatchu looking at???
