It is with a very sad heart that I let you know Brian is no longer with us but in Heaven. Earlier today with just Thelma and Zack by his side they played Stevie Nicks Rhiannon, they held each other and cried and when the song was done they knew it was time to let him go. Brian was taken off all lifesaving devices and made comfortable. Noah and I was honored to be included in the family that was able to spend time with him and say goodbye.
I've always heard the phrase "Well you can't pick your family", that's not true, family is not always who you are blood related too but you who care about. I've know Brian for 13 years and feel that I'm a better person for knowing him. He was Steve's best friend, they thought of each other as brothers. Steve and I worshiped with him and Thelma, they played beautiful music together, we broke bread together and traveled together. When Steve died Brian made a promise at his funeral that he would take care of me and Noah and he kept his word. When Steve passed away the first person Noah asked for was Brian, "I want Brian" and Brian never waviered. At times I felt that he and Thelma were all the family Noah and I had. I'm not sure I would be where I am today without the love and support he and Thelma gave us. Noah asked Brian to be his Godfather when Steve died and Brian took it very seriously. We were blessed to have dinner with them the night before he had his stroke and the whole conversation was road trips they wanted to take together. If you spent 5 minutes with Brian you knew what kind of man he was. His word was gold, he always had a smile and when he laughed his whole face smiled. He was a wonderful trombone player and still played in the praise team at our church. His knowledge of music was like none other, you could give him the title of a song and he knew every word and give him the name of a album and he could tell you every song on the album. He loved his Valkyrie and his 350Z. Brian would often say riding was different now that Steve was gone but still rode for him and Steve.
How do I repay him for what he did for Noah and I? I help Thelma and Zach, we will be there for them and help them any way that we can.
Noah and I have talked this week about how it was going to feel when this moment came and we both said we know we will see him again and he's with his best friend and brother Steve. I can see it now, Steve standing at the gate and behind him are their 2 Valks, a red and black and black and silver one. No need for a helmet in heaven. Steve has already picked out the perfect ride, it's a street paved in gold and more curves than Deals Gap and a perfect blue sky. As they get on their Valkyries Steve looks over at Brian and smiles and says "Lets Roll".
I will always miss you Brian and you will always have a special place in my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend, Love Rhonda

Oh crapola. That is tough to lose a loved one. If I get anything said here I'm going to have to hurry as the knats are horrible tonight.
Thelma, Zach, Rhonda, Noah, Craig and all the rest of the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you as long as needed.
Lost for words now. Bye, Love ya all. RJ.

Godspeed, Brian. The world is a richer place for your having been here and a poorer place for your leaving.
I wish you comfort, Thelma, Rhonda and Noah.

Cindy and I send our heartfelt condolences to Thelma and family. And also to Rhonda and Noah who were also close family. You all are in our prayers. Brian was a good man and we enjoyed their visits to our home, the rides, us working on the bikes together while Cindy and Thelma visited. Brian was Saved and we Know that he is home with the Lord.

Life is precious and sometimes it is way too short.
When you meet some people you just instantly know that they are a GOOD person, Brian was one of those people.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

what a great post you wrote about Brian. He will sorely be missed but we are all better people for knowing him. It is comforting to know this is not "good bye" but "i'll see you later". Until that day we will rely on our fond memories of him.
