Talked to my mom yesterday, she said she gets out in the morning and stays inside after 11. I don't think they have had an inch of rain since March.

That was my mileage for the Inzane trip this year.  Just a short trip.  We went 3000 last year just to get to MI.   Smiley

We have finally got a break in our heat.   The low last night was 67 and that is the lowest it has been since June 12th I think is what they said.

Tonight it is to be around 60 somewhere.

Forgot how far back we'd have to go in history to equal that temp, but it was a long ways back.

Been rainin on and off here all day.  Got caught in a bad one on the way home from church this morning.
It felt good to be cool on the bike for once, even if my pants were soaked.  Smiley

The other day when you warned me to take cover, we got a 1 1/2" in less than 30 minutes.    It was a real frog killer.   No rain since then.   I'd take 3 days of a good drizzle.   Give the ground, shrubs trees and etc a very good drink.

It has cooled off somewhat but the grass is all dormant, however I did cut it to get rid of those damn crawling weeds that will thrive in a hot desert.

Our low this morning was 67, hasn't been that chilly since June 28th I think the weather guy said.     Tonight it is to get to 63 and a high of 85, with 20% chance of showers.

FIRE FIRE  crazy2

Naw jr, that is WATER, WATER.

We no need no fire, did that and have the T-shirt for it.

Only thing I have left of my 39 Chevy Coupe.

Fire was hot enough it just melted that old girl to the ground, and they hauled her out of the old garage in an end loader.

You have no idea what real rain is! We haven't had a dry day here in Ireland since early 'May'. Dam we could do with some heat & sun.. Where in hell is this global warming everyone keeps talking about, bring it on...

Irish-Valk, right now I'd gladly take some of your daily rain.

My yard is so dormant that when walking across it, you can hear the grass strems crackle below your shoe.   NOT GOOD.

My Dr pulled me off of the Valkyrie 2 years ago.

I'm only allowed to ride the Chevy Trike within a 100 mile radius.

After this post I'll wait at least an hour before responding to you.

In the last 4 days we have gotten 3 1/2", both were gully washers and frog gaggers.     Were basically of no help...

Some of the dormant sheet has a touch of green now but that is about it.

We need about 7 or 8 days in a row, of a nice 24 hour at a time drizzle.

That would give the cracks in the ground big enough to drop a semi in a chance to recover.

RJ.  Do you have Paul aka Thumper on the prayer list at your church?  If not, please add him.  I don't know his last name, but he sure could use the prayers.

Don't have him Jimmy, but I will see that he is added tomorrow.

Got to replace a stool tomorrow.   Damn new one was $300+.  My daughter is a Construction Engineer and she said this particular brand was what they used on all their projects.    Asked her why that one (brand) and she said they had 0% failure.   She said American and Kohler all would have at least a 10% failure within the first year.

My fat arse busted the porcelain yesterday afternoon.

No need for comments.   I stated the truth.

Holding up well... I went out to get started on rebuilding my front calipers, changing the
front tire and rebuilding the right fork today... the front tire is still too good... I'll
just do the calipers for now and do the right fork and front tire after the meet in the middle
ride... I hate the thought of one fork filled up with pristine fork oil and one filled with icky
black goo, but what the heck...

How is it that old saying goes?

Put off till tomorrow whatever you can't get done today.

Or something along that line.

New throne is a settin on da floor in da wax seal, seems to work great.
