Gunny, where and when did you do Boot Camp?
I was April 1950, San Diego. CA. Same place, eighteen years later. I was 3rd battalion so we lived in quonset huts that seemed to be WW II vintage. I may have slept in the same rack you used. I recently went through my platoon "yearbook" to check whether anyone in my boot camp platoon was on the Vietnam memorial wall. I found that only one of my platoon mates was there. He arrived in Vietnam in April the day before his nineteenth birthday and was dead eight days later. I didn't even complete my specialty school in Quantico until May. Hey Willow, I was there four years before you, only on the other side of the fence where it was more civilized. Hoser lol! You have no idea what nice things the Marine drill instructors had to say about the other side of the fence. You got that right. They even said nice things back in 1950..... Oh, I think I do. We had a Marine unit in our A school training class later at NAS Jacksonville. Hoser

I'm doing exercises now so as to be able to mount up MGM and go for a ride.
Tourer Trike with the little gas tank, oh me God, will have to stop every 100 miles or so to refuel.......
Oh well, that is one of the sour notes ya got to put up with when ya Trike on out, so ya no longer have to hold it up...

I've had my left knee replaced. I forgot the year, but is is like 4 or 5 years now. They hit me up with a shoulder replacement, and I told them to shove it up their A$$. I'll put up with the pain before I go through another joint replacement.

Now Carl, you ARE talking to a guy that went to Bellaire MI by way of Gunnison, CO, to SD, to ND and across WI to the Michigan UP and over the Mac bridge to get there... The previous year, we went through NC/Tenn. to get there... a more "direct" route, but not straight there. hahahaha... I just might plan that to get to meet my buddy RJ. Hay Jimmyt

Before ya do anything, blow the tire up to 50#'s at least, I usually go to 55.
Evan, if ya take the wheel off, find a tub big enough for the wheel to stand up in but have the tire and wheel under water. Then look for little bubbles. If ya find them, that is your slow leak.
If ya don't have a tub, DON"T REMOVE THE WHEEL, it is easier to work with it mounted on the bike. Ya do have to jack the front wheel off the ground however. Get a spray bottle, fill it up with Dawn dishwasher soap and water mixture or something along that line that will bubble under water.
Spray the valve stem. Wiggle it around with your hand as you spray it. Bubbles, ya need a new valve stem. If ya need a new one go with an all metal guy. Stem okay, then go to the next step. Oh, is the little plastic holder in place? If not, change out the valve stem with a metal one.
Lay the tire down flat on the ground, Spray the bead area on the one side, between the tire and the wheel, if nothing there, turn the wheel over and spray the other side. It could just be a bead leak.
Next, spray the face of the tire and both sidewalls, do about a foot at a time, don't hurry through this, go slow and keep an open eye for bubbles. They could be very little and not occur real fast, probably a bubble about every 30 seconds, judging from what you said the pressure leaks off.
If nothing shows up, then take it to a tire shop for their fancy work with a full circle tub.
I'd lay my $$$$ on the valve stem. I'm assuming you do not change them on every tire replacement. I'm referring to stock stems here, if you got metal ones, they pretty well last a long time. The ones in MGM are 15 years old, they are all metal.
