I have LED's, bracket en simple switches underway! BonS, will the simple switch also help against the occasional not-starting of my Standard? Sometimes (once every month or so) I turn the ignition, press the starter-button and nothing happens. If I hold the button tight, then after a few seconds the bike starts. Never could find the cause of that behavior.

You should service your starter switch now. Read up on doing so in Shoptalk. Here's a direct link http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/VSGPages/starterbutton.htm. Beware, you're working with spring loaded small parts here that can disappear and never be found again! There are brass spring contacts that overheat and melt the surrounding nylon and stop the normal movement of the contacts. When your switch is restored the spring loaded brass contacts must move freely. Hopefully you're in time and the switch is still repairable.

OK, I've seen the Shoptalk page. That's not for me, all those springs are calling for disaster. So I just ordered a new kill switch, lighting and starter assembly (35015-MZ0-600).

Yes one of my customers is running a 75watt LED. You will need to get the BonS Smart Switch with a higher wattage fixture. Other than that it will work.

thx for the video! I wasn't too confused on the halo operation, but I wanted to see how "blue" the LED looked by itself. it actually looks fairly white, is this the case? I see cars with modified head lights, and they have a blue tint to them. I'm really interested in seeing this in person somewhere...

Well you are only a 1,350 mile, 20 hour ride from me. Heck I could show you tomorrow if you'd like.  2funny

They are very blue in person. I don't know why the video washes it out. But you can get the halo's in white as well.

I would probably not get any halo, if I decided to put one on my bumblebee. I'm  just not sure how I would like it. only 1350 mi, eh? if I wasn't leaving for the DRU in the morning, I'd head that way! lol  2funny

Do you think the blue halo Daymaker would provide a reasonable accent for my purple valk? I used blue LEDs for my speedo and tach, and they kind of look purple... otherwise the white halo would work.

Does anyone have any advice on how to properly aim your headlight?

I too have blue LED's in my speedo, and tech. I can tell you that the blue halo is the same blue, so it should work.

I include instructions to properly adjust your headlight when you purchase a bracket.

I had a good week of sales, the number of brackets I have available are dwindling. You all are quickly grabbing them up. I have just 9 brackets left. Get one while the getting is good.

I just ordered a JW Speaker 8700 evolution 2. There is a youtube channel "Headlight Revolution" that has done some great reviews that helped me a lot when picking a light out. I also strongly considered the Truck-lite 27270c but decided id be happier with the JW speaker.

JW Speaker review- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AR2XHtrTyw

7" headlight comparison - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNZT6QqHHOo

Hope this information helps some people. These are pricier options but seems like you get what you pay for like anything else. The JW Speaker goes for about $250 on ebay.

I just wanted to follow up and say that the JW Speaker works with this bracket.

I will post the stock parts on the classified section if anyone is interested feel free to make an offer. It has everything included to use the headwinds LED setup as that was in my bike before and it worked without a problem. Obviously I no longer have a use for it with the daymaker installed.

I am waiting on my bran spanking new bracket and need a game plan!

I notice the Daymaker Halo lights need to have the halo wired separately. Wondering if that halo is essentially a running light, and if all integrated running lights would need to be wired separately.

I saw a video where they use a wire tap on the low beam circuit to enable the running lights... could that work? It sounds like that might overload something?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, will any H4 connector lamp, as long as it fits, be plug and play?

And for this 7" bracket, is 6.95" or 6.98" close enough or does it have to be exactly 7"?

As for your last question, I left room for the bracket to clamp down on slightly smaller headlights so 6.96" will work.

Finally mounted the light in advance of spring riding. Have to say I was a bit shocked at the gap between the bulb and the headlight housing. Almost 1cm all the way around (except near the bottom). Everything works fine but has anyone addressed that gap?

I just got mine installed (Thanks DarkSider! Love it!) and had the same observation and concern about the gap. There's definitely gonna be a lot of water able to get in there through that. Is that why some folks get these halo's I'm seeing?

The gap isn't a concern. It probably wasn't something noticed before, but there is also a gap with the stock headlight.

There is a way and boy-oh-boy are you going to like it. Thanks to a European VRCC brother I can offer this suggestion.

Go buy this HD Bracket (https://www.amazon.com/Auxbeam-Mounting-Bracket-Projector-Davidson/dp/B00X7CC07E). Unbolt the smaller top ring from the larger bottom ring, and discard the bottom ring (or add it to your ever growing parts bin). Do some hack-sawing of tabs, and some relief cuts on the ring. Slip the ring over the Headlight & Adapter bracket.

So now you'll have a nice chrome trim ring around the headlight and it will fill the gap. Does that help?  cooldude

FYI - I have not tried this myself so I cannot guarantee that this will work, but I have seen pictures of it and know it can be done.

Interesting.  There has been just the opposite concern about the OEM gap - too small - folks don't notice it and are concerned about dissipating heat generated by high-cap H4 bulbs. This is re: my high-power headlight relay mod which preceded BonS's Smart Switch - same function as the latter, just DIY.  I've had to point out, Honda designed it to have flow-thru venting complete with rain water - there's a large hole in the back for the wires - nothing in the bucket is damaged by getting wet.  I've found bees and bigger bugs in there, the gap is that big. If you store your bike outside around here, you'll get mud-dauber wasp's nests inside the bucket.  Betcha every one of you has found big bugs in there if you've opened it up.

I have pointed out numerous times that "The Gap" isn't a concern or an issue, but it's something that continues to arise. So I offered up a possible solution.

Thanks for your insight Mark.

Have you seen the new Adaptive LED DayMakers. Very cool Technology. The original JW Speaker headlight is pricey, but of course there is always the cheap Chinese knockoff.

Have you seen the new Adaptive LED DayMakers. Very cool Technology. The original JW Speaker headlight is pricey, but of course there is always the cheap Chinese knockoff.

That's nice but I don't need to drop that kinda dough to just be stylish. Frankly I have no shortage of light in front of any of my bikes even in turns.  But there are plenty who will - esp a lot of HD drivers who already drop a ton on overpriced underperforming rides to just be stylish.  e.g the Big Wheel bikes.
