As of now, Vegas has the Patriots as 3 point underdogs. I never bet against Brady and the Patriots, like I never use to bet against the Cowboys back in the 70's 80's era. This has the potential of being a really good game, that is, if you like football. I know some of you all are against the players and the NFL, well then, this poll is not for you, so just skip it please.  cooldude

If the Patriots that played last Sunday show up, I think they've got a real shot.

Of course if the same Chiefs team shows up, that might be a problem for Tom Terrific. They looked reeeeally good....

Not who I think will win (Since my knowledge of sportsball is about on par with Mr. Head's knowledge of advanced OSI Layer 2 network troubleshooting Wink ) but from what I'm seeing this map breaks down who the various parts of the nation want to win:

I guess I didn't see it that way. The original post seemed lighthearted and fun.

I think this is going to be a great game and both teams will bring it. Anything can happen. That said, since their my team, I think the Patriots will win, but it will be a battle to the end.

If they play half as good as they did last week they’ll be going to the Super Bowl again.

Okay, I'll google it but, this isn't the Superbowl? I take it there's at least one more round of games before the superbowl happens?

Wait!!
Hockey is a sportsBALL game??!!??

As far as the initial post (Patriots/Chiefs) I'm with Serk and say the Chiefs, as the Pats been there enough already (and since my beloved Texans and Cowboys got booted out -musta been cheating going on somewhere/somehow- the games from now on are irrelevant!! at least to me).

But they ought to be some real good games, which I can watch without getting frustrated as I could care less who wins.

Another (Boston) New England Patriots Fan !

I may be living in GA, but I'm a life long Patriots fan, and I hope they can bring it like they did last Sunday.  I know they are down a player or two but I think my boys can get the job done.

Chiefs are one heck of a team with a powerful offense, but not one of the better defensive teams. Perhaps our D can get a couple of turnovers like they typically do.

If the GOAT can bring it like last week, it should be an offensive battle like the last one 43 (Pats) - 40 Chiefs

But as they says "On any given Sunday !"

No offense taken to Chuck's post (Westernbiker)  It was a good question.

Is it too late to be rooting for Clemson by 4 points?

I dont have a dog in the fight and I did appreciate NY being red .

Most likely won't watch but, back when I was watching the NFL, these were my two favorite teams.

Although hard to bet against Tom Brady, based on what I've read and been told, I'll take the Chiefs by 7.

I want the Chiefs to win, but fear the dreaded Patsies will win once again.

The Chiefs though are an overall better football team this year than the Patsies which are not as consistent this year vs. other more recent years. So, Chiefs will win, or so I hope.

I remember from my youth Superbowl IV when the Chiefs led by coach Hank Stram and quarterback, Len Dawson pulled a huge upset over the Vikings.  I think that was their last Superbowl victory, maybe even appearance.  I guess it would be nice for them to get to another.

On the Patriots side Tom Brady is a Michigan man.  Also his left tackle for his first 11 seasons was Matt Light, a local guy from Greenville, Oh.  Matt does a lot of charity work, especially with kids around here through the Light foundation.  He owns a good chunk of property next to a club that raises money every May for our county, Darke County cancer.  I organize the motorcycle part of this event and Matt donates items for the auction.  Real nice guy and has 3 superbowl rings.

So if my google-fu is right, there are 4 sportsball teams left, right?

Patriots and Chiefs will play to earn the right to sportsball against the winner of the Rams and Saints, correct?

I invited my mom to come over and watch the Cowboys sportsballing here so she could explain it to her grandkids.

She refused, she said she didn't want her grandkids to hear their grandma yelling the kinds of words she'd be yelling at that time.

Her yelling got so bad my dad started coming over to my house during the games to get away from her yelling at the TV...
