There is no DNA result for "Mexican."  Mexican DNA would typically be heavily Native American with some mix of European or maybe Asian. They aren't being honest with those people; the most they could tell is that they have some Native American DNA... but that wouldn't specify from Mexico.

I suspected that also. I wonder how those ads for DNA testing can say you have 18% from the boot of Italy ?

For areas that have had stable populations for millennia they can get pretty good results (Like from the boot of Italy.)

For areas that are in a high state of flux or are a younger society, the results aren't so good (Like trying to say someone is from a certain county in Oklahoma, or a peoples like "Mexican" made up of indigenous and European (And other) ancestry.)

Also, I believe that commercial was Ancestry DNA.  Narrowing the locale to "the big toe of that sexy Italian boot," was likely more from the ancestry component than the DNA.

Looks like he'll give the Democrats a little more time to open the government before he does the needful, at least that's the current thinking:
