I know a lot of IS owners like adding the standard tail light to their bikes so there is better visibility on the back side.

There's one listed on ebay now.

I'm not selling it, I just happen to see it and thought someone might be interested

Make sure you check clearance of the front trunk stay crossmember to the taillight housing prior to buttoning everything up. Every one of mine (that I've added a light to or a trunk to) required a bit of material to be removed from the two vertical channels which position the rear I/S seat tab...lest they impinge on the housing and damage it.

My IS didn't have any clearance issue with the trunk mounts. (and I used all OE parts)

I read the clearance issue was a factory CB under there.

I believe BigBF addressed this years ago on his website, he had instructions on how much to trim off of the seat bracket to clear the light housing.
The CB also interfered with the light housing, I know you could modify the mounting brackets so they could work together.

Well, somebody already got to it. Sold.

I've the CB bracket for under the trunk. But I've the Yamaha CB. I just bought the Yamaha mount (box), and their longer cables, so I can reach the side cover.

When I get too it, I'll be adding it to my Project post.

I opened up the tool tray area of the battery box and installed my first I/S's CB in there. A pair of closed-cell foam wedges were fabricated so as to hold the setup in position.

My current I/S will have this done when I install its radio. My Tourer has the Hondaline accessory CB radio set atop the battery box cover, and I'm going to move its Yaesu dual-band ham radio chassis (currently mounted under the trunk stays) into the toolbox area. Depending on fit, I may set the CB in the toolbox compartment and put the FTM-10SR chassis on top of the battery box cover.
