I know it's early but are the dates set for Inzane 2020 in Asheville yet?  Thanks

Cool.  Last warm day for a while... I'm riding to Arkansas to buy a bottle of bourbon.

Cool! What's your favorite kind?  More of a Single Malt Scotch guy myself, but I can appreciate a quality Bourbon as well.....

Have a gander at this thread:

Ok, I have tried to find out information on 2020 Inzane and have the dates, but not the hotel.  I'd like to attend (since my last Inzane was the one in Paducah, kY).  Saw the Crown Plaza was mentioned, but....  My daughter's company has a new Hilton Garden Inn but its downtown so that might be an option for me.

Just trying to plan ahead.

The specific GZ hotel isn't revealed until after you register. Staff doesn't want people reserving rooms at the hotel without registering for the event, among other reasons...

That sounds reasonable.  Thanks.

Not much of a choice at this border liquor store where lousiana Arkansas and The Great State of Texas meet. I got the best they had.

For me its Maker's Mark.

Followed by Woodward Reserve.

But on Saturdays it's single malt scotch day.

The relationship between the two is interesting.  For instance Maker's Mark is aged in oak barrels (as are all the Kentucky Straight Bourbons).  The barrels are only used once and then sold.  Were to?  Some go to Scotland for aging single malt Scotch are the oak is charred.

I know you are probably aware of that.

Off to the market to buy a fat pig. Home again home again jiggety jig. 320 mile round trip for a bottle. I need to get up to 475 miles so I can ride to Inzane over 2 days.

Yep. I drank a lot of rum in my 30's. The best for the buck is Ron Zacapa. I drank a lot of scotch in my 40's. I'm a Johnny walker black guy. Now I drink Bourbon. I've had my share of Makers and the one with the race horse. At this point I'm partial to Heavens Door Tennessee Bourbon. It has a 96 rating and runs about $45 at Total Wine.
