Yup. Same here. Got out for a really short sprint Wednesday evening after work. Weather looks good for some riding next week, but I'll be out of town for work and won't get the opportunity to get her out.   tickedoff

Hey long time no see!
I'm not sure, is it in June? The wife is hoping to have surgery this spring so my plans are on hold till I know when it will be. There was talk about having a wrench party in Evensville Ind in april and I thought about going and say hey to everyone and then cross the River to buy some whiskey. But yes, it would be good to get together and show me your area.

We have the third Mayor's Ride coming up May 20th in New Haven, Indiana

That is a Sunday. Registration at 12 noon, ride at 1PM. Meet at Schnelker Park. Ride will be about one hour long.
Downtown New Haven street will be closed for meet and greet after the ride. Police Escort, etc.

$10.00 registration fee will go towards the Veterans Memorial in Schnelker Park.  Approximately 200 bikes are expected. Can we add a few Valks to the many HD's there?

OK Hoosiers, or others. I'm thinking of making a Whiskey Run to L-ville Sat May 12. It'll be a 1 day down and back for me. Anyone want to roll with me and maybe have a meal somewhere? I plan on rolling from work by 8a and hope to be home by dark.

I'll do my best to join you in Louisville.  I have a handful of yards to mow on the weekends now so depending on the rain and how much dry time I have to cut them I can come hang out.

Made it home safe and sound. A coworker on a crotch rocket went with me. Furthest trip for him was to Indy, 100 miles.  Roll Eyes Left town at 0820 and rolled into the Liqour Barn at 1230 and 217 miles. Soon as you walk in the doors angels sing.  Grin This place was heaven! It was huge! Isle for whiskey, one for rum, etc. Only planned on getting 3 bottles of MM Mint Jelup but walked out a $140 lighter with a few other bottles. Took us 45 min to walk around this place. My friend grabbed a 1/2 pint of heaven hill. 100 proof. We nipped on it out in the parking lot. Woo wee it was good! We havent ate yet today and this was hitting me fast. So off to Burger King for a good meal. Now being Hoosiers and par-takers of our areas fine adult establisments,  cooldude , We were going to take in a show. Esp since they are nude.  cooldude  cooldude  The 2 around BK were closed.  tickedoff So he used his phone and found the Deja Vu. Ah, there used to be one up in our area yrs ago, should be good. 15 min we were there. Looked like a dump on the outside but inside was quite nice. Had to pay cover. Ind Dept Of Homeland Security dont get in free down here.  Angry 1 really hot girl working and they serve pop.  Cry Grabbed our heaven hill and enjoyed ourselves till she said due to L-ville ordnance they cant be nude.  tickedoff  tickedoff But for $35.....sold!  Grin It was quite nice and worth the $$. Spent a little over a hour there and headed home around 4p. Rain all thru L-ville. Missed it all the way home. Rolled in at 9p, 460 miles, after stopping at work for a bit.

Everyone survive the storm Friday? Lot of power outages here but I never lost any. Few small branches down and a few shingles but thats it.

Decided to burn a barrel of trash since it was still wet out. Dad was giving me crap for watching the fire instead of picking up twigs. We still have a fire ban so I did not want to leave it unattended. Step mom text Kit yesterday and said dad got the cops called on him for burning.  2funny Thats great!

Sure glad you got some rain. No storm, no rain here but we could sure use a rain. In the 35 years or so I've lived in this house I've never seen the soil as dry as it is now.

All good here. Just some rain and small(marble size) hail.  Crown point and Valparaiso proper got some nasty winds and reported quarter and golf ball size hail though.

diana and i went for a short ride today of about 100 miles and boy was hot.  diana keep saying how hot it is and I told her just mind over matter.  just think it is only 60 degrees with heater stuck on high. 2funny 2funny  that only got me slapped acrose the back of the head. Shocked  we got back home about noon and the fat gal when stright to her bed for the rest of the weekend.  not even going to try the rest of the weekend unless it might be a night ride. that might be fun. we will have to see about that.

Kit and I are leaving the 14th in the am. She is riding her own so its all 2/4 lanes and no interstate for us. Heading towards Lafy and then take 231 all the way to Jasper. Meeting up with Bob, the guy with the Triumph, somewhere near Lafy or Crawfordsville. Any one want to roll that way with us is welcome to join us. Should be the same route home then.

I don't know if I will be down Friday night or not.  I want to... but just don't know if I can get the kitchen pass or not.

I am going to stay at my families cabin near shoals.  About 20 miles away, to save the dough on hotels.

I am looking forward to coming...

Ok Hoosiers, how did ya fair during the storm? We only got 3" or so. Wind is to strong to stay on the ground here so its all in big drifts. I did plow thru a waist deep one on my way home tonight. Kit said she got about 5" at work, 30 miles south of here. I did get to plow a little when I got home. Been 2 yrs since I had to.

We officially got 9" in Greenwood.  I'd bet it was closer to a foot.  There are some 3' drifts and it's not too terribly drifty.  I shoveled the walks and the porch off.

Probably got 6" here with some drifts in my driveway maybe 2' deep. Power has never even flickered. Mel stayed home from work to keep her new car pristine.

I drove the old 79 4-wheeldrive ford truck and had no problems except really bad visibility on the way in. On the way home, couldn't tell where the edge of the road was and got pulled into the ditch. Punched the petal down and took a cornfield detour till I found a good spot to get back on the road. This is the only time of year I still enjoy driving a cage.  Grin

When I got home the neighbors were pulling innertubes and sleds behind 4-wheelers at some pretty high speeds in their pasture. Saw a tube get airborne a time or two. Really made me miss having dirtbikes and kids at home. When the kids were home days like this meant "deep snow powerslides" on the dirtbikes and riding on the pond if it was frozen enough. I could probably manage one "deep snow powerslide" on the Valk if I didn't mind spending a year or two healing afterwards.  Grin

Not sure how much we got, probably 8-10 inches. Wehave huge drifts and spent the better part of the afternoon shoveling, not a big fan.
