Hey. My Bulbs on my Tach & Speedometer were going on & off. Pulled the bulb & someone had put in a Weld LED NW5 bulb in there. I know where I can buy them. Not very bright & top heavy & caused bulb to move around in socket & they go out periodically but come back on eventually. Does anyone have a part number for the stock 12v 1.7w bulb? I have a parts catalog & a shop manual & the parts manual shows two different part numbers: 34908-MB9-871 & 34908-MZ0-760. What is the difference? I know where I can buy them on line but if I can get them at a regular parts store & not have to pay shipping (ridiculous amount) it would be faster. Does anyone have a part number other than the Honda Part number? Tried to cross reference them but no luck. Any help in this matter that someone has already solved would be appreciated. 12 volt 1.7 watt bulb.  Thanks. tom t

Thanks RP... Hard to copy but good info. Ordered the stock ones from Dillon Brothers. Have had good luck with them before. Thanks again.

I also ordered two WLED-X5 Natural White bulbs...that was what was in there before. Has anyone tried any of their other colors? The pix of people that have used them look really good.

I ordered the "cool white" bulbs.  It makes the numbers look blue.   :cooldude:

Any 194 wedge will fit in the tach/ speedo.

Here's a thread with lots of pics of the leds.

If the lights flicker the bulbs may not be seated in the sockets well enough or the harness connector may be loose or corroded.  Check the connector and really seat the bulbs hard,  Here is another thread which shows the connector and a minor mod using a rebel harness for led trun signals.

TOTALLY good write up. Very good advice. I am going to save all of this. Thanks to everyone!!!

The LEDs from superbrightleds website do not fit the stock socket tightly like the OEM bulbs. I used a plastic covered twisty tie like from a bread bag. The LED has a lip that allows the small wire to grab and pulled the twisty tie between the wires and twisted it tight pulling the bulb into the socket. The LEDs have never flickered and I am happy with the cool white making the numbers look blue. I forgot to say the new LED has a bit of a square like shape that had to be sanded off to make them fit  back in the hole.
