Aux Fuse Panel

Want to install an aux fuse panel in my I/S but I want one that is marine rated (waterproof) and uses the mini blade fuses so I only have to carry one style of fuse.

I use the Centech as well. There's no way it is water proof, but it is great otherwise. Mine is mounted under a side panel and I've had zero problems with it over three years now.

I put my centech on almost 5 years ago... never had  a problem...

They look like the full size fuses not the mini ones used in the Valk fuse panel.

There's a spare fuse jambed into the strap holding on our (my?) battery. I feel like the centech fuses
are the same size as that one... I'll look later...

That's one of the two spare main fuses and is bigger than the fuses in the fuse panel.

Hmmm... I just got back from checking... the fuse in my battery strap is smaller than
the fuses in my Centech...

Having looked, I'd guess that the Centech fuses are like the ATO ones in the picture, and
the one in my battery strap is like the mini fuse in the picture...



I don't remember ever blowing a fuse, so I guess I'm happy to be fuse ignorant 

Surely someone knows for sure what size the ones in the Centech picture are... let me know if you
want me to look behind the side panel and compare the fuses in there to the Centech ones...

BF, I've wired up aux fuse panel like BonS has in your second link behind the right side cover on my Tourer.  It's on a piece of lexan with relays for the fuse panel, cobra spots, horn and something else.  A couple of other members said I did a pretty good job with it but I'm always looking to improve.  The PC-8 will be mounted in the space behind the battery on my I/S.  If everything works out with it then I'll replace the one in the Tourer with a PC-8 also.

Little pricey but I'm really liking it. I'm an electronics tech, so I like a tidy job and this unit incorporates  a 30amp accessory relay. Each of the six additional ports allows for switched or un-swicthed fuses.

These are the mini blades, and it comes with six small amperage fuses.

It has really cleaned up the Ground Bus, Acc/relay and fuse block mess I had under my seat.

Once the top is on it it is very well sealed. but Not waterproof. (A bit of silicone would get you there)

Yeah Marty, your right. The PC8 is cheaper for sure.
However I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for the compactness of the unit I just got.
The Ground Bus, the Acc/relay, and all the fuses switched or not, are in one small protected package.
Because I have a lot of LED lighting on the bike I have a lot of extra wires running about.
Anything I can do to de-clutter is being done.

This is the second (third in some cases) time I have torn it all out to re-design the layout and do it again. I'm really liking the thought that went into the design of the module I am using.

Thanks for the link.  I looked at their fuse blocks but they all seemed to use the standard blade fuses.  I don't want to carry two different sizes.  Honda uses the mini blade fuses and I want the aux fuse block to use them also.
