I learned quite a bit on this ride, the delay in posting this report was do to others  who posted what they learned and I didn't want to beat that type of report to death so I decided to save it for another time, it is that time...

1. I learned that the towns and businesses in the area that we decide to have these ride in
really do appreciate us coming into their area and supporting their communities..

2. I learned that the hotel restaurant really went out of their way to make our stay as efficient as possible, as far as serving good food and moving us in and out as quick as they could to stay within our time schedule...

We had all kinds of riders and the one thing besides riding that they all enjoy, is eating...

3. I learned that this man, known to us as Shinhead, was at one time Uncle Roy on the Mickey Mouse Club, but as he aged his ears fell off and  he is now a rabbi somewhere in Michigan...

4. I learned that the mayor of Marion came to our gathering because he likes biker women....

5,  I learned that after the Mayor of Marion saw Joe's shirt he decided to leave...

6. I learned that Wimp sat outside the hotel all night long waiting for the ride to start...

7. I learned that these three guys were put in a police line-up, but insisted that they were part of the seven dwarfs and began singing Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho off to work we go...

8. I learned that Stich is still one hellva nice guy...

9. I learned that these guys were explaining how they just found those extra parts just laying in the parking lot and they should be able to keep them....

10. I learned these two guys claimed they never saw his missing toupee, in fact they didn't even know what a toupee is...

11. I learned that 91 motorcycles on one ride can stay together for 168  miles without losing anyone and we could use all the bikes the next day...

12, I learned that this man couldn't understand why he didn't win the 50/50 drawing..!!!

13. I learned that Santa won the 50/50 drawing and being Santa donated the money to the Food Bank that served up our lunch that day....

14. I learned that Stanley didn't care who won the drawing as long as there was enough food for everyone...

15. I learned that Bigfoot does exist...

16. I learned that Joe told Reb that diving into the shallow end of the pool is easy and he should give it a try and Gig told him all the women would be impressed with such a feat...

17. I learned this is what Reb had to say after the dive....

18. I learned that Britman and ChromeDome know sign language....

Good report Don.

Too damn bad I live 1/2 way between the Pacific and de Atlantic.

Otherwise I'd bust my butt to get to one of your rides.

O2 requirement makes it kind of hard to go too far from home.

My O2 provider came up with another option for me to travel.
Will test it out just as some as summer riding, or is it spring, occurs.

Merry Christmas Don & Tracy.

Nice post Don.... sorry I missed out on that ride. Would have been the perfect time to shame Tracy into
that pie she gave to "POTS" which had my slice in it...  :2funny:

Thanks for posting Don,
I always like reading your "What I Learned" posts. This one was good because I missed this ride due to six broken ribs and two vertebrae. I look forward to your 2013 ride :cooldude:

Aw come on Stude, you need a pie like I need another hole in my body.

Last time I had ahold of a pie it ended up in someone's face with mojo's help at InZane.

Worst part was I bought it at auction, mojo went up and picked it up and i didn't even get a bite.    I don't think Lori or Carl will sell me anotehr one.    :tickedoff: :2funny: :coolsmiley:

Damn T-Bird, did you come out on the losing end of a family discussion that you should have been paying more attenion to?

Well, all I can say now is heal correctly and take it easy for as long as the Dr. says, and you be faithful on his/her rules.

John Schmidt

Tell you what, that  mayor best watch himself. Saw that picture of him and the two "biker babes" and he better be careful. I understand that one with the two pigtails carries some heavy iron!  ;D

Good post Don, I'd sure love to join you guys in one of those rides but can't leave mama by herself. Maybe one day.......

gabby

Thanks for posting Don. I had the very best time on this ride and am really looking forward to next year
as I hope you'all will come to the eastern part of the Bluegrass for some of the best riding highways. I know that there are hundreds of places too good to ride on, BUT Eastern Kentucky-Southern Virginia-Southern West Virginia-and eastern Te of slow nn. is by far the highways built for the Valkyrie to ride on. Plenty of slow curves, sneeky quick turns, awesome scenery, slowed down living, enjoying time with friends and  making new ones.
Can not hardly wait until next year to Ride With The Best.

Gabby I think everyone on that ride had a good time, I know we enjoyed putting it together and bringing everyone together....Next years ride looks like it will be down around the Cumberland Gap Area, right where Ky, Tn. and Va. meet...I agree there are some great roads down in that part of the country and Joe is real familiar with that area...we'll be doing a scouting ride in a couple of months, Jan. or Feb. maybe you will join us....thanks for the comments and have a Merry Christmas... :)
