Rivco Center Stand hits on Kuryakyn Passenger floorboards

After installing a Rivco center stand, the Kury passenger floorboards stop the Rivco from going up all the way to the 1/2 inch position under the exhaust.

In talking to Mike at Valkyrie Bling, he said I should be able to adjust the center stand rubber stop arm to stop the center stand just under the floorboard. I'm a little leary about having the center stand not come up to the higher rest position. Did any of you do this and leave it at that?

Anyone out there run into this problem and willing to share how they got around it?
I'm thinking the solution would be to buy floorboard offset mounts. I think Kuryakyn has them in 2 or 4 inch choices. Any thoughts?

I dealt with the Rivco stand and Cobra floorboards. The boards prevent the stand from coming up all the way.

I never could find a way around it, ended up removing the cobra boards due to horror stories of the rivco stand catching asphalt in the twisties and flipping the bike. Whether or not it's possible I don't know....don't care to find out either.

I'm pretty sure Joe eliminated the problem by removing the Rivco center stand. While I respect his views about the Rivco, I just put mine on and would like a happy co-existence with both the boards and the center stand.

I think you are trying to make your passenger to comfortable.  But that is another matter.  I have the Rivco stand on my '98 Tourer but use the large Kury ISO pegs for the passenger.  I have never had dragging issues with the stand. 

I moved the passenger peg mounting location slightly up and forward by using the upper bolt that mounts the exhaust hanger to the frame as a mounting location.  Replacing that bolt with a stud with a 1/2-13 thread on one end and a 10mm-1.25 thread on the other fits the bill.  I'm lucky to have a good friend that has a machining business.  This setup works well for pegs but not for boards of any kind.  It did not work for Kury ISO Wings because stepping on the back of them could loosen the peg on the right side of the bike.  I could not get them tight, my exhaust hanger is chromed.

Maybe I can help with your issue.  I have a never used set of Kury 2" offsets for ISO Pegs that I have no need for.  I don't know if the floor board offsets are different.  I probably can dig up the part numbers from old invoices.

I have the Kuryakyn Iso-boards on my Interstate and they do not hit my Rivco centerstand at all and fit perfect. When I had the Cobra boards on they did, but I got rid of them and bought the Kuryakyn ones. I just have a straight clevis style peg adaptor that attached my footboards to the bike. I didn't use the stock passenger adaptors, so that may be the key.

DLSSOJC, hmmmm, after reading that yours don't hit, I took a pic of my adapter. Do you just have
your set screw on the bottom turned out more so it keeps the floorboard up further?

Or do you have a different adapter than I do?

vanagon...thanks for chiming in. I would have loved that setup, but I think Rivco also made it and no longer does. Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong..but I did look for that option. And on second glance at your slideshow image, it looks like it'd probably only work with Rivco boards. I have Kuryakyns.
