Ran into a girl I was madly in love with in HS yesterday. Did not recognize her till she told me who she was. Gawd what a filthy skank she turned into. Gave me a brief rundown of her sordid life which included 6 failed marriages, 2 years in prison for drugs. 4 kids, 2 of which have "bad health problems", one that was murdered and the last is unemployed and living with her, and an assortment of other ignoble issues. She asked if we could get together for lunch some time. I said no thanks and left.

Truly some of Gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

A couple years ago I saw 4 hot chicks from H.S. been 25 years ago since last saw them.  Boy,  one was still looking somewhat the same , but still stuckup on herself, she married a guy in my class she was dating at the time of graduation.  She showed me a pic of him and he HAS NO HAIR on top and I thought I was worried about some gray hair coming in. 

The other 2 were twins in my class I had a crush on one in middle/high school.  Can you say, BOW WOW, glad I didn't hook up with her.  Sent shivers down my spine barely recognized her. 

The other one lives 2 houses down from my mom's house that had a child her senior year from a guy about 7 years older than her at the time.  Now, she is still married to same guy but has had 5 kids all around 18-25 years old, but still smoking hot.  Age over time certainly affects people in different ways.

A couple of my ex's (girlfriends) are real woofers.  One looked great 10 years ago... and since then hit an ugly cliff.  It's more than years too.

I was REALLY surprised at our 20th HS reunion.  Some of the attractive ones... not so much so any more.  A couple that were hot then still are.  But what was surprising to me was the middle of the road girls that were never really eye turners that grew into true beauties. 

We didn't have a 25th, and got together last year for our 26th.  That had a weak turnout, as it was only coordinated thru facebook. 

My wife has aged beautifully, and is more attractive to me now than she has ever been.

And ya'll know me... hell, I have aged like cheese... stronger and stinkier every year, but worth more at checkout.

Been out of HS over 35 years...hard for me to believe. A pretty good sized group of us meet at least once a year. Wow, glad I didn't marry any of my classmates; what a train wreck of humanity. The drunks are still drunks, the cheerleaders, and admirable girls that looked pretty good back then have more issues than the current administrations health care law. Many of the not so "popular" girls really bloomed into very fine women. Most of the folks have not aged well and are far from their past "glory days". Old flames rarely kindle a cold heart and you can never go home to the past. Most of us wouldn't change our lifelong selections for any of the old wood.

  met a close high school friend from 40 years ago last month  (had not seen her in 40 years and she had married one of my best friends who killed himself).  we are both older.   she is a dean of a texas college and we had a good time.  was very nice to get together.  she was a majorette and hot then and i always had the hots for her.  not a majorette anymore, but still a nice lady, smart and fun to get together with.  

 nice to see someone have success after adversity!

I left home and joined the Marines almost out of highschool, spent most of my adult life in the military.  Then onto a business career, always went back home to visit my parents and a very few close friends.   Through all those years, very few of my former class mates tried to stay in touch with me, I'd visit when I came back home but, home changed as all homes do.

I get invited to the annual reunion every year, I frequently get phone calls and personal invitations.  I turn them all down, I simply don't care about those who didn't care enough to stay connected over the years.   Last time I was back home, ran into an old girlfriend, yeah she's married now but, she didn't recognize me.  I knew her the instant she walked into the restaurant.  I was with my best friend who always plays along and follows my lead.  He called her over, started talking to her.  I sat there and while the two were talking said, I'll bet you've got a birthmark right about there, pointing to her frontal regions below the belt.  She looked at me like a deer in the headlights.  Just stood there.  Said, do I know you?   I said you used to.   You could see the wheels turning in her head.   But I didn't give her a clue.  She was blushing from top to bottom.  I know, I've seen her do that.   Regardless, the conversation continued with me pointing out certain things that I remembered from way back then.   She still wasn't sure how I knew some of the things I was saying, especially about riding horse back naked and skinny dipping in the early mornings during the summer.   Not sure how many dudes she did that with but, I don't really care.  The light finally came on when I asked her if she still liked to...........................  Her blush deepened considerably.  Apparently she does.  

From that point on, it was old home week.   She was a bit on the heavy side back then but, I didn't care.   She has since slimmed down considerably but, the one thing I remember about our relationship was not so much the physical aspects but, the way she could annoy me in about 30 seconds.   No, I didn't give her my number and I didn't take hers although it was offered.    People change some and people stay the same but, I'm glad things worked out the way they did.   Now, she's got a story she can tell her husband about that old boyfriend she ran into.   That should be an  interesting discussion.

I run into the gal that was the Queen of the homecoming with me.

Back then she was about 105 to 110#'s.      And Very GOOD looking.

She recognized me and called me by name.    I turned around and looked her over.     She was still 5' 2", but close to 280 or 290 #'s.     Her face looked like it had been fried and then her body looked like it had been rode hard many many times and put away very wet......   I had to ask who she was.   Ya got to remember however, it had been over 60 years since I had seen her.

Ya, I thought she was very good looking back then.    Only way I could of liked her looks then was if I had of married her and watched her grow in size.    In that case, I would of still loved her.    DUH, sure glad I got REd....    She looks very close to what she looked like 60 years ago.

Oh ya, it was a shock to see her.

Funny how we all seem to have similar stories.  And like most it was the hot girls that seemed to gain weight, lose looks, etc while some of the more plain girls really turned into beautiful women.  Guess Mama was right when she told me not to marry for looks alone.

Two things.  Ever looked in a mirror?  I have, scary!  Few of us look anything like we did in HS either!  Beer gut, white hair, no hair, wrinkles, etc.

The "pretty" girls had a lot farther to fall.  In our eyes, they were "perfect".  The ordinary ones, since we did not put them on a pedestal, have aged more "normally".  Our expectations are not shattered as they age.

As Mama used to tell us, and we did not listen, it truly is "inner beauty" that matters.  A beautiful soul, never ages.

We had some twins in HS who were avg cute and thin and flat as rails.  Identical twins almost no one could tell apart.  At a reunion 35 years later they still looked identical and no one could tell them apart, but man o man had they blossomed into beautiful women.  My best buddy said he wanted to try and get in the shower with the pair, but I pointed out their husbands might not approve.  That buddy was always an optimist.

I've run into a few women I dated before I met my wife. I was already in my mid thirties when I met my wife. So I "had been around the block a few times" and was somewhat "gun shy". It seemed that most of the women I had dated were a bit on the looney side.

Pam was such a refreshing personality and was able to understand my needs/wants/idiosyncraties.
Heck after 25 years, she still spins wrenches in my garage. teaches motorcycle safety and is one hell of a rider.

   Only dated sparodically before I met my ex wife spent 21 years with her and Bi-Polar disorder reared it's ugly head. She was always quirky which I liked but she started menapause early because of a hysterectomy that she had to have when she was 23. Came home one day to find the divorce papers on the kitchen table and her gone. That was almost 4 years ago, I am living with a woman 12 years younger than me now and if I can get my Valk up and running will be back in high cotton. Saw the x about 3 months ago she's remarried has put on about 30lbs putting her at about 230 and has rosacia so bad that she looks like a crazy beefeater tomato Hope her accountant husband isnt dumb enough to put her name on his checking account. I thought about sending him an anonomys note but figured I'd let him figure things out for himself.

Where I live now makes it difficult at best to see/meet/run up on old lady friends.  But I do have the occasion to see my 2nd ex wife at times.  And I usually have to remind her now and then and more now-that we are DIVORCED.  And there are some of my girl friends from high school that I've heard have kept their shape and sense of humor.  I on the other hand have gotten a beer gut the hair is getting grayer every day and I can tell a day or 2 before the weather changes.  Those gals are the ones saying the silent prayers.  RIDE SAFE.

I graduated from College in '69 from Northeast Oklahoma, been to home town maybe 7 times since then. I don't have any living relatives there, so no need to visit there.   So, chances of running into "Old Flames" is really slim and after 40 some od years probably wouldn't recognize any of them if I did see them.  So don't need to say that "Silent Prayer".
