found an interesting new item on  one of the intakes on my  girl. She has not complained or run any diffrent. The stain wipes off easily and appears to be rust...I rode thru a pretty good rain for about 30 miles and noticed it this am...could it be time to replace the o rings on the intakes or am I getting worried over nothing..thanks (again)

Leaking o-rings, the stains are from fuel. Replace them.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Not really. They have to be REALLY bad before it's significant. The stain is after you turn her off...fuel vapor condenses in the intake tube and the now liquid runs down..then wicks out the o-ring seal.

That started on mine after using a can of B12 Chemtool but has now stopped.  I would change the O rings but every time I go to the barn to do maintenance on the Valkyrie I go for a ride instead.
Thanks,

Can't disagree with any of the above.  :cooldude: You might also want to check the torque (7 ft-lb) on the screws holding the intakes in place, particularly where you say the stain. Another possibility to explain the stain(s) is that a fuel rail Oring is leaking.? The latter should yield a smell of gas.
