Primary location - Black Hills area of South Dakota

Secondary location - Ashville, NC

Dates/time frame will be the same as this year.

Threw a dart in the map around Black Hills area.....1,962 miles for me.
Inzane lasts 4-5 days. Riding is bound to be gorgeous up there.
Travel time to get there at 500mi/day = 4 days and 4 back if I take the most direct routes. That is not fun.
Lesa will not want that many 500 mile days.
Gas for 2 bikes each way would be around $400 = $800.
Lodging for 6 nights to and from @ $80? = $480
Meals to and from, figuring at least 2/day x 2 people = $300 give or take.
That is around $1500+ travel costs to get there and back (direct route) via motorcycle for two people.
Break those costs out a little farther and that is almost the cost of a 2-bike aluminum trailer.
Plus InZane costs.

Ashville - Plenty of roads left to explore!
Two days to get there and two back
Weather is stellar there that time of year. Rides are gorgeous as well.

Personally, I hope they go back to Asheville, there's no way I can make the trip to the Black Hills. Plus, I'd have to find someone to stay with Rita for a minimum of two weeks, probably longer since I'd like to swing by my old home town in Iowa. I guess we'll see what happens in the coming months.

DD

let us know where and when after you have it all worked out and done.       ;D   :-*

As I posted on the main board, SD not in my riding range at my age, would drag the toy hauler there and stay in it, just economics, $30 a night for an rv park, or just stop in rest areas on the way, as I am self contained, would save a lot of money. Would love to visit the area, just would have to do it on the cheap. Would much rather go to Nc, Tn or Virginia or even N georgia.

Bill, I know it's a long way for you and for the Florida guys. I hope you can make it. Your trailer was looking pretty good when I saw it last year :cooldude:. I think taking it would be a good way to do it. Relatively cheap and not as hard on the body. Maybe you Florida guys could get a little trailer caravan going ;D. Hope to see you and all the sunshine boys and girls next year :cooldude:

Xtracho

If SD is the location and us Florida guys organize a trailer caravan, I'll be happy to ride wing man because I'm riding the phat lady. Be my first Inzane and looking forward to it.

Xtracho - one way or another we need to get the Panhandle boys and the rest of us together at some point before the next Inzane. Guess we need to think of a mutually cool place to meet up for an overnighter. Let BF heal up and its.......Game on!

Now back to the regularly scheduled buzz about whether we will attend the next one or do something else............or both!

Black hills would be good.  Love that area, we do it every couple of years.  Trailer is my method.  Crystal flies in to Denver and I pick her up on the way.

A panhandle ride/meet would be cool.  Read their comments and would love to shake hands.

I will ride with u. I have been wanting to go out to SD for years. What are the exact dates for this?

Go on the main board(General) and look for f6gal's post. Here's a link, the update was posted about 5 days ago.

With my surgery and recovery period, I'm all out of leave.  However, I'm almost back to normal....just don't have the strength that I used to have.  I guess it will come back in time.  Still have a way's to go before I get back on the Valk.

As much as I'd love to go, SD is simply too far for me.....and by next June, I wouldn't have enough leave saved up to make the trip.

I'm afraid Inzane is out for me.   :(
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Pappy!

How much leave will you have saved up by that time?
Reason for asking is that a few folks were talking about the Carolinas again as they are in the same boat as you as far as being able to take off for that amount of time.

Of course we're biased but we vote for the Blue Ridge again! Lot's of motels in Maggie and we can do another BBQ and tractor ride at our place. The big motorcycle rally they have there is over Memorial Day weekend so any time before or after should leave plenty of vacancy...and clear roads.

I would love to ride up to SD. Just don't know if I can swing that much vacation time with the other commitments we have.
The thought of another ride in and around NC also sounds great. :) More study is needed, thankfully there is plenty of time to do just that thanks to the early dissemination of the ground zero location.
Two days up and two days back is more appealing than four up and back.

I like this idea best, SD is too much time needed for me, I would Love to do the BRP and surrounding areas again next spring. My 2 cents. 8)

Grumpy

The last few weeks of May are real nice there, cool mornings and not too hot later in the day. Plus not as crowded as it gets later in the year.

Flrider

I'm game for NC.

Like Grumpy said, May is really nice.

Bronxboy

I'm game as well, just picked up a nice Sissy bar bag from Saddleman, should hold enough gear along with my hard bags for a few days.  ;D

BillyBoy, won't you join us in NC? It's all dry and nasty up in those SD mountains. Plus the people there ride loud bikes and dress funny. (Don't make me re-post that photo of you in your daisy dukes!) :uglystupid2:

Still would like to see a ride to the panhandle this fall for a over nighter or two and maybe meet
some of our northern riders.   :coolsmiley:

Pappy!

Billy....Will be happy to make that ride up to the Panhandle. Been wanting to anyway for a while.

I think a panhandle meet and greet is a good idea.
I'm sure someone up there knows of a great BBQ joint.
I'll bet we could entice folks from GA. AL. MISS. etc. to show up.
