We are buying a pull-behind trailer for my 1997 Valk from a friend to let my wife pack all of her "stuff" for longer trips.  Any recommendations for trailer hitches?

Thanks

I just took my Hitch-Doc off my 2001 Standard.  Do you need a hitch?
Call me if you do...Frosty at seven-one -nine  three-90-5100.

Hitch-Doc is one of the better hitches for a Valkyrie.

I had one on MGM for many many miles pulling several different trailers.

It is built very solid.

I sold it to a member in Florida when I triked MGM out.0

Google Hitch Doc and it will give you theit home page.

Then have a look see.

Whatever type you get, I like the ones that have a removable tongue.

I've added a cargo carrier to my bike, instead of a trailer. Only need a little more room, for the medicine cooler and my "seal bag" luggage.

I also have room to bring the fire pit to the annual Valkyrie Rally in our area. Trying to buy a 5-10 lb propane bottle to also bring, but for now, we get it locally.

I bought the hitch from RJ and towed a trailer from Florida to Alaska and back.  RJ is right, as usual, it is a great hitch and solid.

Have this on my valk. Much better than a trailer.  On e-bay.

I would leave the wife at home or take the car if she wanted a trailer :coolsmiley:

I bought & installed a used Hitch Doctor receiver hitch on my I/S last year and love it. Great looking & very well built when not in use it is invisible to the untrained eye. When I bought the hitch the hardware had stayed with the previous bike it was on. I called Hitch Doctor & they sent me all new hardware for a very little price very good people to deal with. Since then a friend gave me an all new extra set of hardware for an receiver Hitch Doctor. So if you find a used one without hardware drop me a line.
