Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

This is a 100% weather pending ride to " The Gulf Coast Ride " . Right now the Apalachicola , Florida area is what we have in mind. I could also call this " The Oyster Run " . Anyone know this area and know of a single level park at your door motel ? We do this ride every year the day after Christmas we have stayed at Shell Island Fish Camp in Saint Marks however we would like to be closer to Apalachicola .

Can't help with a reasonably priced motel in Apalachicola. They seem to be proud of their pricing - it's a tourist destination.

However here's a road that might make you smile. Watch for sand in the curves - as everywhere in FL.

Strange that there aren't any photos of the "Lodge"? Or am I just being overly paranoid?

The only one that fit's that description that I can think of in Apalach is the Rancho Inn.  It's on 98 on the west side of Apalachicola.

It's and old school road side drive up to your door motel.

There's a bed & breakfast in downtown Apalach, but I can't think of the name of it.  You'd probably like it much better than the motel.

Over in Port St. Joe is the Port Inn.

And even further west in Mexico Beach is the El Governor.

Yeah, Joe told me he really likes those bed and breakfasts  Wink ...

I'm probably out of this ride unless me leaving the upstate on the 27th is an option...
Y'all might be in Florida by the 27th... I'll be on call then, but I already swapped some
on-call with the guy who has it now (Thanksgiving), so that won't matter...

I'm going to keep focusing on the black bike and hope I get it rideable... Both tires
on the red bike are getting close to the end, I'll have to make the call to
abandon efforts on the black bike and change the tires on the red bike if
I end up needing to take it.

I've already got a couple messages on Facebook with folks interested in joining us. Mike and Bill we'll leave The Great State Of Tennessee on Friday the 26th and spend the night somewhere in south L.A before crossing into The Sunshine State on Saturday. I'm guessing we'll head back to God's Country on Monday the 29th with Tuesday the 30th also being a option. Mike I've got to do some tire and final drive maintence before rollin' out as well. If you don't like oysters you can do McD's while we do oysters and beer  cooldude

Roll it on a trailer you have friends in Tennessee and Mississippi that would let you park the rig . See what works better Clinton, Tennessee or Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Add Kentucky to that list.   Would love to go but, as always, there are very few short notice weekends/holiday days that aren't  already secured for vacation by someone.   Just not me.

But, I've got plenty of room for you rig should you decide to take advantage of it.

I'm working with a couple motels right now for Friday the 26th hook-up point for everyone. Right now I'm thinking we will stay the night in Auburn, Alabama on Friday night. We need to make reservations for this motel so everyone that's attending this ride can have somewhere to " get together "  . Once the group is together we will just " wing " the other motels along the coast as we will all be together then. I hope to have this motel for the 26th lined up today and will make a new post with that information this evening or tomorrow....Bring It...LET'S RIDE  Smiley
