We will ride in on Friday evening February 13.... Group ride Saturday February 14 .... Head home Sunday February 15... If you get paid holidays the following Monday is Presidents Day. We plan to ride to as many Dam's as possible on Saturday. The Beech River has ( 8 ) small dam's on it and the roads to and from look pretty good. My friend Paul ( Wimp ) and I will be checking a detailed topographic back roads map of the area to figure out the best roads. Cedar Dam Dogwood Dam Red Bud Dam Pin Oak Dam Beech Dam Pine Dam Sycamore Dam Lost Creek Dam We will be staying in Fairview , Tennessee at the same motel Mac ( Crazyhorse ) used on one of his Veteran Ride's. Motel information is below you will need a room for Friday 2-13 and Saturday 2-14.... Room rate is $57.82 with tax for a double room tell them you are with " The Smokinjoe Ride " so we can be grouped together.. It's going to get colder here tomorrow however today I was killin' bugs with my windshield.Fingers crossed for decent weather on the ride in Feb. |

Anyway, I went ahead and made a reservation... however, my actual appearance will be weather dependent, of course. Simply stated in mathematical terms... Rain + Cold = No DDT... and No SmokinJoe either! Oh well, such is the life we've chosen, I reckon. Hope things do work out, though, it's always a delight to hang with you and the Wild Bunch... And YES, I'd be willing to take a few mosquito bites for the team, too!!!
