I think tattoo's are pitiful, and many people get them to draw attention to themselves. I guess they have low self-esteem, so they trash the flesh, thinking they will never get old and look like something out of a circus when they do. Seen on TV awhile ago, that the pigment used in the colors, contains heavy metals, which these heavy metals can effect the brain and other bodily organs. The metals don't just go away. Tattoo parlors claiming their inks are heavy metals free, and were tested on the customers and found not to be true, it contained metals. People out there thinking they are good but they are not. Silly thing Grandma told me, that tattoos are the mark of the "Beast" sorry I am not going to test that theory, and when I see people that are excessive with them. I ask myself what are they thinking!!! Oddly I noticed from my minor research, many are women that do almost every inch of the body, that is sad!! Female vanity and even the guys are getting vane now, with Botox, lifts, implants, how sad is that!!!! Look we are all going to get old, deal with it, and enjoy it, at one time I was good looking but look at me now, holy crap!!!!

Personally the female form has and always will be the something of fascination. Tats do not add to the experience and detract from it, I see it as a outward reflection of an inward emotion and one that like some speaking would be better done if they would keep their mouth shut.

The other day or three M S N ran an article on older folks-50+-that had tats and also had before and after pics. When I was in Uncle Sugars Canoe Club-1964-1968-I was either too drunk or too high or a combination of both to get tats. Lot of the people here that I ride with-male and female-that have tats have expressed remorse for getting them. And-YES-I do realize it is a personal choice. I M H O-the female form doe's NOT require tats to make it "look better". Nuff said bout the female form! RID SAFE.

I'd like 'em better if they weren't permanent.
Probably not gonna be so hot in about 30 or 40 years from now.

Most consider their tatto to be art work. My problem is I like to take my time while viewing art, not always a good idea. HT

One of my wife's granddaughters is a beautiful young thing, very tall(nearly 6') and well proportioned and has already been approached by various professionals re. modeling. The last time she came over, she had shorts on and her one thigh is covered with a huge tattoo, and it's not a pleasant one to look at. I took one look at it, shook my head and asked her what was she thinking. She got a little defensive so I told her, honey....you're ONLY 16, it's not a case of....hot dang, now I'm 16, as though that's the age of consent for foolishness. She asked why I felt it was a big mistake, and I simply told her with that ugly tat on her leg, she just ruined a chance of a lifetime. She disagreed, but I found out a few months later that three different companies that had approached her have now told her they're not interested....then told her why; the huge tat on her leg. She's crushed, but it gave her parents a chance to explain to her (again) that they don't advise her out of selfishness or abuse, but to help prevent her from making bad decisions that will affect her later on. Case in point....if she had listened to them instead of getting it done on the sly without their OK, she would possibly have a much different future.
I personally don't have any tats. I have considered having one on my forearm with my four daughter's names encircling a dove or something similar. Above two of the names would be a halo to represent their present location.

Which means i dont care what i look like in 40 yrs. Ink of today lasts alot longer then yesteryear. It shows at work and only had 1 neg comment in 18 yrs of ems work. Alot of compliments. Im also pierced but it doesnt show. Plus u gotta have tats to be a biker lol

When I was working in the field of Mental Health I overheard some psychologists talking. One said the amount of square inches of tattoo someone had was equal to the amount of personality disorder they have.
Its ignorant judgments like this that fuel much of the discrimination and fuel a lot of hatred between people that have real or perceived differences between each other. Its sad really
I have had one negative comment about my tattoo that shows and it was from a Christian lady that believed whole heartedly that a person could not go to heaven if they had a tattoo. This belief was taught to her. Sad Sad Sad!!!
It always amazes me how many people cant just simply not like something, they have to define the stupidity or outrageousness of a person that feels differently
I don't care if you get a tattoo of Obama on your forehead. I would have some inner thoughts about how you could choose that but if its what you want who am I. And believe me if you have your trust in Jesus Christ you will go to heaven regardless of what tattoos you may or may not have. Those tats will not go with you into eternity (in heaven anyways)......
I have seen some fantastic tattoos
I have seen some ridiculous ones.
I have complimented several people, I have never criticized someones ink (out loud)
I have my reasons for both my tattoos, I have no regrets, I have never even questioned "was it the right decision?" I don't think Im more a biker because of them, nor do colors, vests or patches make you more of a biker.

I'll see if I can find some of the others. I know I've got some, just got to find them.

Some years later it looks like a road kill blue jay. They are scars without a story, like refrigerator magnets that your aunt mailed you from places you havent been.

All I'm going to say is, it's your body do with it as you wish as long as you're not hurting anyone else. I have a military tattoo, USMC on my right bicep. Seriously considered having US Army and aviation wings put on the left but never got around to it. All tats I would ever consider are covered by a normal short sleeved shirt. I have them for me and no one else. Having said that, it honestly broke my heart when both my daughter and son came home with gaudy tattoos.
I suppose they mean something to them but look like crap to me. In both cases covering up a beautiful canvas but, I bite my lip and carry on. What I will say is most folks don't comment about another's tats unless they have something good to say. Those that don't like them normally just walk away and don't say squat.

I don't think any less of her because of it. And a person would be crazy to try to tell a menopausal women what to do. I worked with a guy that had his nipples pierced. The only thing I can think about that is how something would get caught on them and I would be reinacting the scene from "A Man Called Horse"

Just a friendly reminder: (And while I fall into the "Inked women are a big turnoff" camp, I'll thank the OP for this thread anyway, if nothing else it's provided some very entertaining banter! ) Funny side story - I used to hate tattoos. I mean HATE them. I broke up with a girlfriend primarily because she got one, they were that much of a turn off for me. When me and the spousal unit started dating I made her promise up front she'd never get one, and she agreed with that. Which REALLY freaked her out when I came to her and said I wanted to get one a little over a year ago... (And yes, I fully rescinded her promise not to get one as well, I'm an ass, not a complete hypocrite.) So now I've got one, and once our $$$ situation stabilizes I'll be getting another I'm sure.

Yes people with Tattoos, when they get older will have sagging Tat Syndrome. So what with or without a Tat. The body will still sag. So Sag with Dragons, Snakes and Flowers to remember the time when they were young and happy to live it up a little. Mark of the Beast,,,,,,,,,,Please. Not even close. VETS are heavy into tattoos, you think a Veteran or serving Soldier is evil if they TATT. Please. Not even close. I have a tattoo, 5 to be honest, not worried, at all. Just Being Honest.

Most of em look pretty good to me, with or without tats wouldn't make much difference. The nose rings and black nail polish seem kinda nasty but to each their own.

And a person would be crazy to try to tell a menopausal women what to do.True Dat. Which REALLY freaked her out when I came to her and said I wanted to get one a little over a year agoBesides a military one, the only other I would consider is your Molon Labe (or the Gadsden Flag). (But I'm getting too old for that, and never had biceps I was proud enough of to dress up.)

I do not have a tattoo.
I am not qualified to pass judgement on those that do have a tattoo.

Ok, I started this......not necessarily for the discussion of tats on women, but more to look at the art form of women. Personally, I don't care for an overly tattooed woman, or man for that matter and agree that the womans form is art in itself. A little rose, heart, butterfly, or kiss lips, here or there and maybe even concealed for the most part is fine and appreciated.....but the operative word is being "little".
I have a tat on the left forearm of a woman in a sailors uniform (clothed), and have had to wear long sleeves in various job related positions or occasions. The other tat on my penis....usually spells the word "Puny", but is also known to spell out "Property Of Pennsylvania State University Women's Vollyball Varsity".
Actually, only the one forearm tat, although I have briefly considered others....I just couldn't or didn't care to do it. In hind sight, I wish the one was on the upper arm, if at all. But I've got more important things to spend tat money on......

Putting tattoos on beautiful bodies like those is like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa.
