Just got off the phone with Dave  Sad

On the way home from dinner, bike started to 'wallow' in the rear...  Rear flat happening.  Got some speed scrubbed off, but a violent tank slapper, just as they hit the shoulder, tossed them both off the bike.

Faith has a broken collar bone, and one broken rib.  Dave has lotsa cuts n scrapes, but otherwise OK.  They were in the ER until 4:30 this morning.  Dave is up and kinda still in a bit of shock.  Faith was sleeping, but just woke up as I said goodbye to Dave

Dave said the bike is in rough shape  Embarrassed

Keep them in your thoughts n prayers, they are two of the best.

Were they wearing helmets?  Hope they were and that played some part in their surviving the crash.

Any one that you can walk away from... angel

Best wishes, a prayer and a speedy recovery for them.

besides the few broken body parts, glad they both are still in fairly good shape otherwise, could have been worse.

makes me very leary now as my rear tire with 10K is loosing about 1psi per day with 10-12 pinholes in the rubber rear Avon Cobra tire.  Tempted to ride it say 10-30 miles off and on while I wait for new tires in next 2-3 weeks getting done, but there is always that chance of a blowout although the holes are microscopic, you never know if they will open up all of a sudden even with some tread left in the tire.

Don't like to hear of this at all!  I'm glad they're both upright.  Very sorry to hear of the broken collar bone.

Let them both know to not hesitate to let us know anything we can do to address their needs.

That was a terrible post to open to this morning in Africa.   Cry Black Dog, you are right brother - those are two of the best.  I pray that they have a speedy and full recovery!  DAGNABIT, I hate to hear this.  Bikes can be fixed or salvaged, I am just glad that it was not worse than it was - even though it is bad enough.

Dave and Faith - heal fast my dear, dear friends! You are good folks and proud to call you friends....man, I hate to hear this.

Dave is an experienced rider, so it could have happened to any of us.....

Saddlesore - they are from North Central Michigan.  Beautiful country......

Let us know if we can do anything.....AND HEAL FAST AND COMPLETELY!!!!!!!

Black Dog - thanks for letting us know - please keep us updated as you find out....no way for me to contact them from here.
