The government was supposed to be a moral and ethical government granting people their unalienable rights that God had given them. To not put harsh and unfair taxation on people and uphold the law, without bias.

 This government is about as far from that concept as the moon is from the earth so why would not the conservatives want a change. I'll make an attempt to at least addresses the initial flawed syllogism. I am an ultra-conservative.  I don't hate democrats.  I will confess that I do not like much of what the democratic party pushes and there are certain democrats for whom I have little respect or admiration.  My hatred is very limited.  Most people are not democrats unless, of course, a very large number of democrats voted republican in the past congressional elections.  I would submit that neither democrats nor republicans make up "most people".  Both parties seem to be vying in every election to attract that number of voters who are neither in order to build a majority for the election.  Even the majority vote in an election is certainly not most people as a large number (usually over half) of the people don't bother to vote.  Therefore ...  Stupid logic generally results in really stupid conclusions.

I thought it was interesting how in supporting the long winded claims that conservatives always call their opponents by disrespectful names the poster involved himself in a little name calling.  It appears the practice is not limited to one side or the other.  More than that it is not universal.  I am an ultra-conservative and I do not normally resort to using demeaning names for the opposition or, for that matter, for the ones I support.

An observation of mine is that the vast majority of the contributors to this board do not resort to the belittling articulation that is practiced by a vocal (or is that typal?) few.  Those few are noisy enough though to sound (or read) like a lot and they are replete with representatives from both ends of the political spectrum.
