WTB Ultimate Big Boy for Standard or Tourer

Does anyone have one gathering dust they want to get rid of?  I don't need the pillion or backrest.

If there is a seat out there that won't burn your buns or crush/set your boys on fire, Let me know about it. Not that I'm willing to spend the big bucks required to get one, rather just know which one it might be and where it is. After hours/days in the saddle, heat factor, etc., etc., things start to go to the wrong location/position. When all this start to happening, I'd rather it happen on a $100 OEM seat. Just my opinion and I sit on it every day. Go for it Dave!!!!

Eli, I have a Russell Daylong that wasn't built for me, it was made for a guy that is 5' 17", and it is the most comfortable motorcycle seat I have ever had.  It has copious room for my boys and if I used beads or my Airhawk they would be riding with a cool breeze also.  I plan on having one custom made for me someday.

After approximately 85,000 miles on my OEM 2000 seat, it's about worn out.  The cover is still in really great shape, but the foam is breaking down and I don't bring much of my own padding to the party.  So, regardless of which way I wind up, a new seat is in order.  Another OEM is on my short list, but I would try a rebuild of the one I'm on first.  Russell?  Quite possibly, but not as the first next step. 

Although I spend my life at a much lower altitude than 5_19, after a little more than 6,000 miles since January on the much taller and much more vertical 800, I feel like I'm wadded up in a little ball on the Valkyrie.  That's what is leading me to the Big Boy and its advertised 1" taller-than-stock dimensions.  Heck, I might even consider a King Big Boy to even further straighten my legs.  No, a peg-lowering kit is not an option.   

And...  In true "the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone" fashion, when I get the seat / seat height problem solved, that will cascade directly into the fairing / windshield configuration / helmet butteting problem.  Oh well, it's only dollars and must be done in order to enjoy all day on the Valkyrie again.  Hopefully, all day for many days in a row. 

It won't be cheap, but it will money well-spent.
