I'm wondering if anyone here has (or has a picture of) a matte black Valkyrie 1500.

I can Google image search as well as the next guy, and I can't find any pictures except a couple of really gnarly looking ratbike Valkyries, and a few highly modded bobber types.

I'm thinking a standard Valkyrie in like a Harley matte black would look stunning, especially as the chrome would pop right out of it and punch you in the eye.

I've got some experience painting matte black bikes and am toying with the idea of getting out the spraygun... but my friends think I'm nuts.

Any pics - or thoughts - would be appreciated!

You could plasti dip it to see what it would look like and then rip it all off. Did that with an old VTX to see what it would look like.

The new F6B comes in flat black, and while not a Valkyrie may give an idea.

I think George (Momz) in Michigan has/had his Valk Bobber done in flat black...  Search 'Bobber', as he has posted pics before.

**EDIT**  I did the search for ya...

Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...

I think it would look pretty cool. That being said it is YOUR bike paint it the way YOU want it, no one else's opinion matters cooldude

That's a remarkable transformation - great job he did.

Only my opinion, but why would you paint a bike to look like it was primered? Must be an HD thing.

My 99 IS had bad paint. Got tired of it and hit it with flat black spray bomb.  I let the chrome alone and only did the tin.  It wasn't bad for a rat IS, and a lot of the younger guys gave it a thumbs up.  Do it right and it could be good.

I've got one, custom job, but impossible to post pics on this site.  Go to the VRCC Facebook page and I've got pics posted there, or shoot me your email and I'llsend you a pic.

The confusion stems from the terminology.  The VRCC message board, in order to maintain size does not post pictures.  The terminology should be attach.  We attach pictures to posts.  That means that the photo itself lives somewhere else on the internet and its appearance on the message board is dependent upon its healthy residence at that somewhere else.
