Photochaser's shot got me thinking we have some very nice photographers here.  Let's see some Pics of rides or anything that you'all have taken.

I'll start with this one.  Lady Draco was right. I should have not left my helmet, etc on the bike, it clutters things up.  That's why I'm not a good photographer.

The view is old Highway 30 in Indiana close to the Ohio border.   This was my Valk rig.

Yes, let's see some "money shots"!

The vast majority of "money shots" I have seen while riding have been captured on the film of my mind.  Although it may have been nice to stop, get out a camera, and capture what I saw, I'm okay with the fact that it's only in my memory.  Because I'm not a photography enthusiast, I don't have the equipment, skill, or experience to capture an image that comes even close to what I see with my eyes.  With my film cameras I have photographed many fantastic sights, only to be disappointed when I got my prints back; they didn't even come close to the image I remembered.

So now I take fewer photos, and more of them are of people, rather than scenery only.  Occasionally, however, I manage a good shot or two.

At Bow Lake, Alberta, from the hike my family went on, July 1:

Hey GR, to my wife and me that drive up through there is probably the most awe inspiring one we've ever taken. We spent some time in Banff, then Lake Louise, then north to Jasper. On the way up we stopped at Bow Lake, then the Athabasca Ice Fields and took the ride out onto the glacier. A funny story re. Lake Louise....when we first arrived there was a guy playing one of those Labraphones(long Swiss horn). Later he was out back near the water playing various tunes and my wife went up close to listen. He stopped and asked if she had a song request for him to play, so with a sweet smile on her face asked "do you know The Yellow Rose Of Texas?"  He got all PO'd at her, she just turned and walked away with that ornery grin I've come to know. Your pics makes me wish we could do it all again.  cooldude

That's funny! He must have had some exes that came from Texas.  I imagine he had to leave his labrophone to turn and walk away; she should have tried to play the song herself!

Was it this guy?

Temps in the upper 90's and heat index about 105 to 110 but it was beautiful to ride out to the lake. Then on the way back found my friends church on a horse ranch and paid a visit to him and some of the locals. Its been along time since I spent time with a horse. Been around some a@@ but not many horses  Wink

Black Dog.  you weren't far from Big Mac when you took that photo.

Here is Big Mac, taken a few years ago when I was meeting with the Michigan crowd.

Just took this shot of Big Bertha a couple hours ago, up Ohio Creek road.  Notice the Castles in the upper left.

To compliment Britman's dragon.  This one is still there (Crested Butte, CO).

Probably not the same guy, this was a quite a few years ago. That picture sure brings back some great memories though. We also went down to Lake Moraine for a day, beautiful location. Forget what they called those peaks west of L. Moraine...something like the Five Sisters or ??

If someone can crop the top of the sunset photo to just below the wires it would make a really nice photo.

I never was one for taking many pictures. I've always used the policy if i can't remember what it looks like i should go back. That may change looking at this post and others ride reports. You pictures have given me a bucket list of places to visit and let me know i need to get the hell out of Ohio  uglystupid2

Beautiful pictures up there!!!

Here's my contributions from a few different rides.

I'll start with the Pig Trail in Arkansas...

Bear Tooth Pass Montana...

Of course, gotta have the Dragon Tail in here...

One for the Cheese Heads (you know who you are)...

And the last one for me (I love trails leading to cool places, even though my shoes were soaked through for the rest of the day)...
