My bag lids  are starting to look ugly. For some reason after the bag rails were installed on the lids there are spider web cracks appearing around the holes.
Is there a leather cover available anywhere for our bag lids or is that something that has to be made special or, should I try to find some different ones?  Lids alone are like hens teeth to find.

I have seen leather covers, but think were custom?

Too late now, but it sounds like either or both that the nuts were tightened too much, or the rubber washers were not installed.  Too much stress on the lids. Sorry to hear it.

What about a vinyl wrap? One of our local valksters did it just on the lids and it looked great.

Now you know the reason I never mounted them on my bag lids. To help prevent that cracking, you should have placed star washers under each mounting post....same for mounting a rack on a trunk lid. It spreads the weight much better, you don't have small pressure points on the plastic. You can get various sizes of those washers, some around 1" in diameter might cover the cracks. I would reinforce the plastic from inside first.
